Just returned home from Chicago. Didn't have time to meet with any CF members this trip, too busy getting the kids settled into their new family life!

Erin and Nasri are doing very well, little Julia looks exactly as her mother did as a newborn. She is absolutely perfect in every way!

I had a really hard time saying good-bye this morning....let's just say there were tears! LOL

I can't tell you how overjoyed I am with this little peanut! She is just so precious! I wish she lived closer, I can see a huge travel budget in my future! LOL

OMG!!!size> How BEAU-tiful. She does look perfect. I know how hard it was to leave that precious little girl. Thanks for sharing and for making my lips pucker up wanting to kiss her.

Chris, I will be selling, but not directly out of my garden. I'll dig and divide the clumps that need it in the fall and line them out for spring sale. I have lots of people touring my garden during bloom season, so the sign will also make it easier for them to find me. :) Julie, Anns Talladega is a brighter rose red than mine. Don't know if it has something to do with the soil, temps or what but as I said, mine may look different next bloom season. We'll see. And, not only has it put up instant rebloom scapes, the one huge fan I planted in early March has now increased to 7 fans and is a small clump. How's that for fast? LOL Jan

fduk, for what it's worth my first try at Julia Child was sum what like yours. I started with three of them. In their third year I could not take any longer and began too dig them up. They did not grow well and defoliated every year from black spot. Mine where own root. I dug up the first two and thru them near the compost pile. Did not have the heart too pitch the last one. So I moved it too the empty lot. There it could do what it wished without bothering me. Yeah, It change from a mouse into a princess.She now showed no disease and has beautiful blooms. I just sighed telling her I suppose if I move you back too the yard you will not look like this. She stayed in the lot for years. I'm reasonably sure the only difference was the amount of sun. She's now back in the yard as a neighbors tree finally grew too large. Another neighbor removed a tree providing a very sunny spot in the yard. Mine will never resemble Diane's beauty or that in San Jose ect. but she is now a beauty in her own right. Finally bought 4 more.

What a pretty, pretty baby girl. She really is just precious. I love her name. Everyone looks so happy!

I especially love the picture of four generations. That is very special.

Oh my goodness! Look at all that wonderful hair! You are right, she's beautiful. I love the 4 generation picture - you're very lucky to still have your Mom.

Dad looks a bit tired in that first picture. Was it a long labor?

Thanks for the compliments and good wishes for little Julia.

Well, Zoe calls me "Grandma Linda" so I guess that's fine for Julia to use as well!

I think we were all tired at the hospital when those photos were taken! LOL
Erin was in labor for about 13 hours, but the hard labor was only for about the last 3 hours. She was tired, but said it wasn't really as bad as she had anticipated.

Tima nad I are hoping to get back down to Chicago within the month.

She's a perfect little doll! So many newborns aren't pretty yet, but Julia has it covered! Love the family photos, especially all 4 generations, that's one to cherish!
Travel often and snuggle, they grow up too fast!

Well, I certainly can't disappoint Julia's admirers now, can I? LOL

Didn't take as many this past weekend, she is a lot more active (read...squirmy) and it's tough to get a good shot.

And she really hated her first "real" bath....

But she got over it and was happy shortly after it was all over. Poor thing....so traumatic.

Aw, poor Julia. She's still beautiful, even when she hollers!

she'll learn to love that bath, I'll bet, and give everyone around her a bath before she's done.
