there are many really good useful screen capture free programs out there, bobs link to those at gizmo provides several of the top choices. Many have the editing stuff all built in to them. On my linux I have one called ksnapshot which is so easy to use wish they had just that item for windows. On windows I have used a few including the gadwin program and I have used this one Screenpresso logo and the picpick one mentioned at the gizmo site. I had no idea the pdf select tool would not work on some items. That is strange. on the ones y'all tried it on had you actually saved the pdf file to your pc or were you viewing the pdf file from the online site? just wondering if that would make any difference. I have never encountered that problem.

I have a different HP but I don't think that matters. When your at a website that you want to print go to the left top and click File - Print Preview - Set the Scale to 125% or larger. This will also require more sheets of paper because of the larger print.

Do not follow those directions. The w3c (World Wide Web Consortium, the people who create web standards) specifically designed CSS (Cascading style sheets) to be able to handle specific types of media, including printing. Using a CSS page (set for media="print") allows you to not have to make a separate printer friendly page. CSS separates content from design ie your .html page would have <p class="main_text">Some text here<p> and the .css page (linked in a <link> tag) will have p.main_text " color: #999; font-size: 2em; > Now if every page linked to that style sheet and I wanted to change the way that the text displayed I can change it in one place and it will affect the whole site. Print stylesheets offer special commands that printers can understand, such as where to put page breaks, whether a page is a left or a right (for double sided printing), margins etc. You can also turn elements of your page "off" by using "display: none;" This way you can turn off things like a navigation bar (who needs to see that on a printed web page?). If you are going to be creating a website XHTML and CSS are the de facto standards for all future web design as layed out by the w3c. There are plenty of tutorials on web. Good luck.

I'm not sure I get what you mean by "copy from a machine". You mean - print a page that you're looking at on your computer ? It depends on which program you're printing from. In a program like MS Word, you can set the font size for the whole page or just part(s) of the page. In a browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox, there are settings for font size that are global and affect every page and thus how large the words will print out. For many programs like browsers or say, Adobe Reader, you can also set in "Print Setup" the scale or zoom factor to 100%, or 90%, or 80% or the like, which will affect the size that pages print out. And some of them will keep the last setting. So if you change the scale to 150%, and a week later decide to print again from that program, it will again print at 150%. If I'm not sure how things might turn out, I often use Print Preview, usually (in Windows) in the the "File" drop down menu to see how a page is going to print out. Also many printers have a "Show before printing" setting which gives you one last chance to see what's going to happen.
