I have not owned an evoluent but I did try one and did not like it as well as the wow pen.When I decided to go with the vertical style mouse I did major work on figuring out which one to go with, my research and time paid off. I have NONE of the complaints listed, If you have a really big hand maybe the pinky would be an issue not at all for me. This mouse has a rubbery soft material on the area where your fingers go which provides a very good grip I love the feel of it.I have never used a mouse pad with mine on my desk which is a laminate wood type surface it glides fine and I have never seen a jiggle?? I would wonder what kind of surface they were trying to operate on. The impression may be that it takes more pressure for a left click but in reality it does not it is due to the way your finger is on the button, on a regular mouse you are pressing straight down with your finger on this mouse you are more pressing down while your finger is in a side ways position just like it is when shaking hands. I have really bad arthritis in my hands and fingers and I do not have any problem using it, in fact I have a hard time when I have to use someones mouse that is the regular kind now. I have no idea what they mean by intensities??? Personally I do not feel the price of this mouse is high, any good quality product is going to cost close to this price, I have found it for a range of prices so be sure you do look and search, I found it for multiple prices on amazon alone. I am sure not every person is happy I can tell you from myself and my husband we will not be using a regular mouse again, I have purchased 4 of these and every single one has been excellent. The fact that I have gone from having to wear a brace on my hand and arm at all times to not having to wear one at all and all I did was change my mouse is worth so much more than I paid for these mice.

Eliminating static electricity is a good suggestion. I have used grounding straps myself, but I don't believe they are absolutely necessary as long as you dissipate any static electricity when you first begin to work. Snidely, you are new around here?? The regular volunteers on this forum have helped me over the years, so many times, I can't begin to count. I remember coming here a long time ago when I wanted to learn how to cut/paste. I think a Google search brought me to this forum. I come here frequently with any question I might have because I trust the help I always receive. Everyone is so kind and gentle. I don't feel embarassed asking for help and I've always been given it by the wonderful people who give of their time, talents and skill for free. They work together with respect for one another, even if they have differing opinions. The Computer Forum is such a comfortable place to come with your questions and problems and always know these 'friends' will be there. I am so thankful for their help. I had a few minutes before my helper got here for day two of the Paul Bunyan adventure so I went to Amazon and looked at their offerings. I agree, I don't think I would purchase a mouse without seeing/testing it physically for feel and comfort, but it was a one-stop look-see. Hopefully this is the last question as I feel lazy in not researching this myself. I just don't have the time right now and the old mouse is "circling in the bowl". I would hate to transfer a ten year old two-button mouse from the garage system onto this system. Their seems to be an extensive price range, $12.00 to $99.00. My thoughts are to stay around $30.00 or less. Am I on the right track? I have plenty of rechargeable batteries around so that will not be a concern. Cat, You missed out. In May the chainsaw and I were down your way doing our thing at my son's. If I had known I would have stopped by. I will be down again in three weeks as we have some more work to do inside. We are finally going to put up the shelves and install the doors on the walk-in closet I built in their master bedroom when he had his back surgery. Plus, a few other things. DA
