I just bought the license for Malwarebytes for 'real-time protection'. Fifteen minutes in and already getting pop-ups.....while navigating this site. Anyone else have the licensed version? Will this slow down my computer at all.

All done scanning...nothing found and MSE seems to be working correctly again after a restart....I guess all is well for now. Thank you for your help and concern...you probably know how we novices panic when something goes wrong :o)

Microsoft Security Essentials is set by default to run every Sunday at 2 a.m. Any time the computer is not on then the scan will run the next time the computer is started. The scan time can be altered to suit the user of course. As I noted above the program updates automatically too. Nothing to do except on occasion make sure the program is still running and updating, I have been very happy never had an issue with the program myself
