sorry about your missing buddy.... but i think you made the right choice in selecting your new friend, by choosing the one that ran and jumped into your arms. you'll always be numero uno in her heart. our affenpinscher once wandered off when we were visiting a friend's home. i told my boyfriend that it probably wasn't a good idea to leave our dog off the leash. but my bf was certain that our dog would never wander too far off. well, at some point i looked around and noticed that francis was missing. we called him, but he didn't appear. so then we all divided up and fanned through the neighborhood. eventually we found him, a few blocks away, and he was absolutely terrified by the experience of being lost for those few hours. after that, we're always very careful to be aware of where he is. jehana is a real beauty! keep well! --robbie--

YOU VACUUMED THE DEBRIS OUT OF A GAS TANK! With what? I don't guess you ever heard of a vacuum cleaner turning into an air/fuel bomb from someone doing that? The vacuum cleaner motor shares some of the exhaust air that has passed through the vacuum collection canister. If the volatiles are concentrated enough and the sparks (which are always there) from the motor commutator and brushes ignite this air/fuel mixture there will be 2 explosions (at least 2). The first explosion happens in the motor compartment where the sparks are. Almost instantaneously, that small explosion will propagate back into the collection canister igniting a larger, more violent explosion. Further explosions and/or fire depend entirely on how much other flammable liquids are in close proximity to the vacuum cleaner. That's why your vacuum cleaner has a warning about not picking up flammable liquids. Most fire departments can tell a few tales of calls they have answered due to exploding vacuum cleaners caused by this. You wouldn't be the first, but it could be YOUR last.

Here's a possibility: If you go to microsoft.com and type in the search term "open dbx files" or go to this site http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/community/columns/filecorruption.mspx (same thing) and wade thru to near the bottom you will get this paragraph: In the unfortunate event you do not have a backup that contains the messages you need, it is possible to recover messages from a corrupt DBX file. Unfortunately there is no built-in recovery tool in Outlook Express to do this. There is, however, a very inexpensive third-party tool called DBXtract that could possibly recover these messages.. It was written by Steve Cochran, a Microsoft MVP for Outlook Express for many years. You can purchase and download DBXtract at Steve's OEHelp website.1 Also if you google "open dbx files" you will find the program described in the above paragraph, I think it was $27, and/or other similar programs. I didn't see any free. Guess it depends on the relative value of the lost info. ========================================================== Have you lost any further emails? I have read a lot on this subject due to my job and there are distinct differences in different generations (though there is always exception to the rule). For instance you have "The Traditionalist" who were brought up to respect everything especially this country. Why so many enlisted in the service - they in turn raised the "Baby Boomers" who rebelled in everyway possible. Yet, they started working at a time when jobs were scarce and they had to fight for everything - especially if you were a minority or woman. They all had a dream and felt with hard work and education you can achieve that goal. They raised the "Gen X" whom for the most part had to raise themselves while their parents worked. They saw their parents live to work and achieve the dream only to see coompanies shut down and their parents loose everything. There have been more suicides in this generation than any. Late Boomers and early Xers are raising the "Gen Y or Why" generation that questions everything. They are the first generation to have lived their entire lives with technology. They have also had the benefit/curse of helicopter and snowploy parents. Those parents that are determined that their children have every opportunity to be more successful then they were and will do whatever is necessary. They have been given more money, material, and time than any other generation and then we wonder why they feel entitled. They are definately bright, skilled, and experienced but don't understand what it means to be at work on time. They hate being told what to do but crave attention and support. They have no loyalty to "company" and they most often quit from boredom or lack of "meaningful" work. They work to live and live to enjoy life. All of that to say we are all products of our environment and most of the trouble comes in the different generations excepting that their way is not the only way. All of this is just my opinion and yes I believe this latest generation lacks respect but somewhere along the line my generation turned respect from being something that is earned to something that is bought and raised this generation accordingly. I have 3 sons the oldest always tried to reason with and the other 2 were just told yes and no without explanation. My oldest doesn't speak to me and my other 2 sons are the most respectful caring self-reliant young men a mom could ever hope for. Coincedence?
