This maybe falls in the category of dumb questions, but I wonder if nowdays spyware and adware are considered the same problem and most programs that eliminate one, will eliminate both? I've always run both Adaware and Spybot.
I've used Spyware blaster on 98 and XP. For a reasonable fee updates are made automatically. Some programs remove, but blaster supposedly blocks. No problems that I'm aware of. Grady
Thanks, guys. I have Spywareblaster. Do you think it protects against adware specifically, though? Enough that if I have it, I don't need something specifically designed to stop adware?

Blurb from the download site at download.com:- SpywareBlaster doesn't scan for and clean spyware--it prevents it from being installed in the first place. SpywareBlaster prevents the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, dialers, browser hijackers, and other potentially unwanted programs.
