The mold was growing on the old layer of Kilz, and in the moldies areas the old Kilz peeled right off with the wallpaper, revealing that the mold was in the drywall paper. Is it enough to spray it with bleach, wipe it down, patch the ripped drywall paper with joint compound, prime with GUARDZ and then paint? Or do you think I should remove the drywall in that area? We actually did remove the drywall there 11 years ago, when we first discovered the problem. We cleaned around the studs, added new drywall, used Kilz, and then wallpapered. We thought that would take care of it, but it came back. Don't really want to have to replace the drywall again if I don't need to.

Matt, Most US wallpaper sites don't show their pricing; you have to call the store to get it. I did find an Australia listing HEREwhich shows the price in AUS dollars. Their price is $281.33 for a single roll (The standard size of a SINGLE roll of wallpaper is 21 in. wide x 16.5 ft. long) In American dollars, that is $185.96. My dining room is also done in a Thibaut light blue wallpaper, that I love. It was a splurge, but mine is smaller than yours and I also just did above the chair rail. I'm adding another fervent vote for you to try to keep it and work with it.

All of the left behind glue must be off the walls. , Or paint will not ADHERE. Try a deep navy, a charcoal, or even a NEW paper altogether as sometimes? That is actually easier! What's the floor, what is the vanity etx? LOL and why oh why do we have to DRAG the info from posters? Nobody can give you really great advice, without an entire picture .. In fact, you can get bad advice without all the info. We don't need the Library of Congress.novella. But.......make a link to SOMETHING close by : ) , show and tell is always helpful. You can keep the info simple: My walls in the foyer are a pale gray.......and then we don't have to google the paint number .
