Have you ever cut your finger/fingernail on a faucet aerator?

A couple of years ago, I bought a bathroom faucet aerator, the typical 2.0 gal/min, to replace the original. About five times so far when I was using the faucet (washing face, hands, etc), I accidentally bumped my finger into the very bottom of the aerator, and it sliced into my fingernail like a knife! Even though I knew to be very careful after the first incident, I would still get cut. Last week it happened again, and this time it sliced quite deep into my fingernail...I didn't even bump my finger into it hard. The metal part of the aerator where the screen sits is very sharp.

I've never in my life had an aerator cut me. This is a replacement aerator that I bought at The Home Depot. I removed the darned thing tonight just in case to be safe and replaced it with a different aerator I had on hand that I never got cut with.

Has anyone ever had something like this happen to them?

Thanks!
