I spoke with the Master Gardner helpline and she suggested sulfur to acidify the soil. I think it will take awhile to see results from that though. She also recommended cottonseed meal. I called the company I purchased the soil from today. They were very apologetic and are checking their sources of manure to see if they have changed anything (i.e. putting lime out in the stalls). He offered to purchase and come to my house to apply blood meal or fish emulsion, which they believe will help for now. Anyone have any objections/opinions to blood meal in this situation? If I'm understanding what I've read, blood meal would be good for both iron and nitrogen deficiency.

yes I had posted a warning about that some time back, we must be extremely diligent these days any time we choose to install anything because even good reputable companies are trying to hoist that junk on us with pre selected items. You can remove it via the Windows control panel, add/remove program dialog. In the list you should find ZA Spy Blocker and also "ZoneAlarm toolbar: If you install ZoneAlarm and do not uncheck the "Spy Blocker" toolbar option, the Spy Blocker toolbar for IE and Firefox will be installed, which includes the Ask.com searchbar. To remove this toolbar, click on the ZoneAlarm logo in the toolbar to open a drop down panel that includes an uninstall function."

I just checked to see what updates have been installed, and I don't see any numbered installs. e.g. 2929437. This is necessary, prior to downloading the latest fix. chuggerguy: Yes, I reboot every day. acraftylady: I had previously looked at that setting. It was already checked. But at your suggestion, I unchecked it, then rechecked -- now I have graphics in IE. Firefox used to have the same setting -- but now I can't locate it or something similar.
