if you only get 3 a day you are extremely lucky I would be happy with that number, my hotmail only gets a few but my other email addresses get sometimes hundreds a day.

Each time you get one do not simply delete it select it and send it to the junk mail bin so that your filters can learn, other than that and blocking it or setting up special filters in your email settings not much to do. We all get them unfortunately. Since it has your legit email addy on it your email address has been sold to some spam list probably, that happens when people send out forwarded emails with long lists of people's email addresses showing, which is why everyone should make use of the blind carbon copy function of their email client it is just common courtesy to do so.

I didn't say that was the only spam I get...it is the only one my ISP doesn't stop on their site. I have tried to get them to recognize it and stop it there, but I can't seem to get that point across. There is a place on their site where I can add the ones I want to stop as spam, but I can't get that on in there for some reason....I suppose because it has my address on it...I understand that, but it also has a Viagra address that I just can't get to go into spam...I would like to HURT them...grrrrr Thank you for your answer just the same....

Here is what I do with spam that I get.
I use Outlook Express, XP home, and Firefox.
Without opening the email, right click on the email. Left click on the Properties at the bottom of the box. This will bring up a box with a Details tab at the top. Click on the Details tab. Highlight and copy the Internet headers for this Message. Click OK.
Now go back to the offending email and click Forward. Enter the appropriate one or more of the address listed below. Either before or after the spam message, paste the Details you copied above. Send the email

I do this to most of the spam I get, although I don't get a lot. There is no feedback from most of the addresses below, but it seems that after awhile the email of a similar type stops coming.

When I previewed this message, the spaces I had between the type of spam and the address disapeared, so don't include these words as part of the address: child porn, Investment & security, Prescriptions, Spam

Instead of setting up a mail rule to move a spam email to
the Deleted Mail folder, set up the rule to just delete it
off the server. This way it never gets downloaded.

Pooh, that's what I've been trying to do, but it is fixed so that it has my own address "to" and my own address "from" and then it is from VIAGRA ® Official Site...I can't seem to get it into my SPAM folder at my servers site.

I've gone in and looked at the details and it shows that it is from "me".....I haven't tried the number thing, though

Setup a mail rule so that:
If the subject line contains: Viagra
Delete it from the server.

I have found that my Gmail account is very good with spam.

Woo Hoo...I'm doin' the happy dance. I hope it isn't premature. I've never set up a message rule before. I knew that feature was there, but my ISP stops 99% or more of my SPAM. I did a message rule and put Viagra in and I haven't gotten one of those irritating e-mail since I read Pooh's response. And...I was getting four or five of them a day...so far, so good

I'm surprised those were getting through.
