Bath planning/layout software?

I've been scouring the posts here and see some lovely bath layouts. What software are you using?

I've tried the planner at NKBA but, for example, can't figure out how to do an angled wall.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have been using "floorplanner" software. Initial version is free but limits number of designs that can be saved. Modest annual fee for upgrade, which allows more designs to be saved. Can easily convert from 2D to 3D (some details, such as dimensions) disappear in 3D representation).

Lots of icons (bathtub, sink, drain) to choose, but cannot import or create new ones. No "undo" function, which is annoying, when I unintentionally delete a window or shift a wall. Need to be connected to internet when using floorplanner.

I have downloaded "sketch up," also. But it's not as intuitive as floor planner - bigger learning curve.

Thanks! I also downloaded sketch-up but it was way too much or too little depending on how you look at it.

I am using an old version of Floor Plan 3D, and am hoping to find something a little simpler.

Your welcome sayde. Don't forget to get the Bonus Packs too. When I started using it three months ago, I just did my kitchen. It was very useful and allowed me to visualize my new kitchen. But then I realized that I needed to see more of the house because I was knocking down a wall and I was curious about the sightlines. So I went back to the drawing board. After a few weeks of measuring almost everything, I now have my entire first floor sketched. I can now do a complete walkthrough. I have to say, it's pretty accurate too. It's almost like being in my house. I'm not sure about the Mac version, but at least for the PC version there is a really good rendering plugin, SUPodium, that's also free. It allowed me to see the lighting effects. I put in some cans, pendants and undercabinets. All I can say is wow.

Pretty neat stuff. An easier to use version of some of the standalone programs, like 3D home. I noticed they are missing a number of larger appliance sizes, like ranges over 30" and refrigerators wider than 36". It would be nice to make these things resizeable, as well as the cabinets, to get a perfect fit. I'll be using it to sketch out my next bathroom projects.

I like your vanity on the window wall too. The closet in the layout below has a different shape but it gives you the same amount of hanging space (10 ft). I have a friend who has a similar closet but 6'6" wide instead of 7'. It works. She has 2 sliding pocket doors on each side of her closet to close it if she wants to. If you were to do something like that, I would recommend that you make your wall thicker to be able to mount a towel bar on the left side without interfering with the pocket door. I suggests that the linen cabinet is accessed on the shorter side (opposite to the vanity). The reason is that the side of the linen gives you a place to mount a towel bar.
