There is a good chance that your early model Electrolux Icon was made BY DACOR for Electrolux so DACOR might be a source fot regulator or know where to get it. I find it hard to believe until proven otherwise that the regulator was redesigned and that there is not a replacement source somewhere. My sister's early Icon looks like yours. Perhaps the repairman's suggestion to replace is based on not knowing how expensive this stove is. As an aside where I live some "Repair" shops double dip as they also sell new appliances and also advise replacement when it a job they don't want to do.

I saw 10, not counting the frog between the fox and the tree, but I wasn't sure what the rooster was. I knew it was something, but I couldn't identify it. It was easier to identify the frog.
