You are giving Microsoft too much credit. Could be a number of reasons why something doesn't forward. Does this always happen, or only once in a while? And what kinds of pictures are you talking about, specifically?

When I forward things with attachments, they don't always get through intact to my intended recipient. I've gotten in the habit of putting myself down for a bcc so I can see if what I forward arrives intact. If you are seeing things fine in an email you get, but can't send them on, one workaround is to save the pictures to your desktop, start a new (rather than forwarded) email, add or copy any text you want to include, and re-attach the photos from your desktop.

Seems that the problem perhaps does occur intermittently. But most of the time I just do not try because it is such a problem.
For example, today a message with 6 cartoons arrived. Could not forward, not even to my hotmail account. So my option appears to be to copy each cartoon separately as a.jpg to my photo folder, then send them as .jpg attachments or as SkyDrive album slides with has somehow become the default method.
Too much crap for my liking.

I've never had problems like that with my Hotmail account or my Gmail account; I've never bothered to use an email client like Windows Live Mail. How complicated would it be to ditch Windows Live and just go directly with Hotmail or a Gmail account?

This is a common problem. The work around I found was similar to Kudzu's. Clumsy but do-able.

This is one sorry commentary on Microsoft, is it not? One expects better than this.

And I don't have a problem with windows live mail. I was frustrated at first because I had not learned to use the easy access bar, to much junk on the tool the reg toolbar. No technical problems that I remember. I even sent either yahoo mail or gmail through it. One of those two would not work unless you had the paid version.

I did have trouble one time sending email but it was my cable company, they had change their address name without letting users know.

Not sure what this post means. Windows Live Mail is Microsoft.

Sorry. I was also responding to another post in this forum involving Microsoft email and the Android operating system and got that response muddled in my mind when I responded to your inquiry. You're right...ignore my last comment.

I get a ton of forwards from someone and the pictures never show. I got tired of explaining it to them so I just delete and don't even bother with their mail now. When I have something I want to forward I save the photos to my desktop as said and compose a whole new email. My brother has a MAC and a lot of times when he forwards I don't get the pictures either but it may be that he does not know how to forward in his email right either. Mary

I asked my friend what email program he is using.
Here is his reply:" I use an integrated browser and email package called "Seamonkey", which is Firefox and Thunderbird rolled into one. Although it is supposed to be 100% compatable with IE and others, it isn't. Some sites are programmed so narrow for IE that it is difficult for Seamonkey and others. I usually save jpg, wmv, and others to my "My Videos" folder and then go there and double click on a particular one. I'm going to get up to date on the plugins for Seamonkey and see if that helps. Windows tries to make it difficult for other browsers in an effort to get them to switch over. Some of my wife's friends have issues as well. I have been thinking about switching to Firefox and Thunderbird to see if it makes any difference. Sorry for any inconvenience."

Perhaps there is some information there to explain what is happening. What say?
