Mystery solved - expensive!

Had varying problems with my desktop after moving to a new place. I had page loading problems, my wireless adapter kept shutting off when the machine was idle and my wired keyboard would not operate when the machine was started up. I had to unplug and replug my usb's each time the computer was shut down or left idle for any length of time. The keyboard and adapter were new and I thought I did something wrong setting them up. I finally called in a tech.

After checking all my settings, he couldn't find anything wrong. Of course, like taking your car in to the shop, everything worked normally while he was here. But he did notice that my wireless signal was going on and off. He fiddled around, checked the other computers and finally announced that he thought it was a mother-board problem. Said if I still had a warranty, I should call Dell.

Sent an email off to Dell, they set up an appointment to have someone come to the house. The tech came in today and replaced the mother-board. Didn't cost me a dime. But the first tech charged me $200.00 bucks to tell me to call Dell.
