Add/remove question

There are some programs in my add and remove list that have been un installed,but are still on the list. How can I remove the names from the list? I have win xp. Thanks!

You can edit registry or maybe easier would be install RegSeeker which does that for you pretty simply.

Registry keys path;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
you'll see the item plus you might look thru the classID numbers for the program too to delete that maybe also if it still exists.

I think it's too early. Often our nurseries put them out too soon and I go back a week later and they look like crud from cold damage. It's hard, but I try to wait until later, at least late April, maybe early May, and I still bring mine in overnight in a bowl of water if there's any chance of frost or extended really cold temps.

This definitely looks like a sloppy silicone job. Call the company you hired back out to take care of this. If they are truly a "5-star" company, they will fix mistakes like these and do whatever it takes to stand behind their work! As for the basic principle of how "slab" shower systems work, in response to some of the comments above, the Onyx Collection product is designed to work with a proper 100% silicone application in the corners and expansion joints as part of the system's PRIMARY waterproofing. The walls are installed via use of 100% silicone both as an adhesive and as a "seam fill" in the corners and joints, preferably over a code-compliant WATERPROOF backer board like DensShield. Greenboard has a water-resistant face that is not waterproof; while the DensShield has a waterproof face. Our company has installed many Onyx systems, and we do them over DensShield, not Greenboard or any of its "water-resistant" analogues (there are many). The corners and joints must be fully and properly filled to maintain the primary waterproofing integrity of the system. In the unlikely, but possible, occurence that one or more of these joints ever fail (through inevitable expansion and contraction that naturally occurs), you need a totally waterproof board behind them. This generally differs from tile, where the PRIMARY and ultimate waterproofing layer is built behind the tile wall system. With tile, you still want to follow TCNA guidelines and use a properly-tooled bead of 100% silicone in all corners and joints (as opposed to grout, which will crack), as these places will expand and contract regularly. However, it is important to understand that the silicone application with a tile system will only serve as a SECONDARY waterproofing layer; it's primary purpose is to prevent visible cracks in corners and joints that you would get from using grout only. Many residential and commercial tile installations still have improper, grouted corners and joints, which is why they almost always have visible cracks in these areas.

First let me be clear that I’m not a pro, but here’s my thoughts on mixing MCM with other styles. I think it can be done, but nit with just anything. And modern farmhouse with MCM is going to be very tricky. I don’t know how to pull it off. I would say for sure that you would need to change out four things in the kitchen area - the pendant lights, the pantry doors (the are nit simple enough to be so close to MCM), the bar chairs, and the EAT sign. That would probably neutralize the kitchen enough that it wouldn’t be fighting with the MCM furniture, but it might then feel like you lost a lot of the modern farmhouse feel. Also it’s critical to consider what is at the part of the room we can’t see - the living space. Honestly your best bet if you’re going to try to make this really work is to find a designer who will take small jobs and consult by the hour and make a comprehensive furniture and materials plan. And btw I agree with HU-187528210 - the table is reasonably neutral, but the chairs are decidedly MCM and they are what would require other things to be changed out.

This is a much deeper bumpout than yours and covers what may be a back porch, but just to give you some ideas about how to handle incorporating it better and making a substantial entry there. Gather ideas and accurate measurements; then take photos and inspiration pix to a good architect who can design a fitting look for your specific home. You could put a portico like this underneath the bumpout and add some softening curves with new steps,curved railings and landscaping. I would pay special attention to the concrete block retaining wall and stairs so they fit with the new portico/porch and look less utilitarian. Here's a classic treatment... Two ideas for adding a wide front porch that surrounds the bumpout or tucks up under it, depends on height underneath.

If you have to ask you don't want to go there. Going into the Registry isn't for the faint of heart. There is a free program called REVO that is pretty good at removing all traces of unwanted programs.

I have to reiterate shboom's warning. If you go into the registry and don't know what you are doing, you can completely disable your computer.

Their site says:

You can clean any junk, temporary and unnecessary files from your drives;You can erase all your browser history in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Netscape browsers;
You can erase the recent document history of Microsoft Office products from version Microsoft Office 2000 till Microsoft Office 2007;
You can erase most of the important traces you have left behind after working with Windows;
You can permanently delete all of your already deleted files so they become completely unrecoverable by any software;
You can securely delete any existing file or folder so it becomes unrecoverable by any software

Would this make REVO complementary to CCleaner, or could REVO be used in place of CCleaner ?

Personally speaking, I believe REVO is an uninstaller application with a suite of additional tools. Where as CCleaner is a cleaning application with a suite of additional tools. The additional tools do cross in use, but I think the main focus of each application is its strong suit.

BTW,

Since Caroline's concern is removing the listing rather than the application itself why not use the CCleaner tool. Under Tools is Uninstall. When activated the tool provides three options; uninstall, rename entry, and delete entry.
