I did not know however they have found a whole list of God modes LOL Windows 7 has lots of 'GodModes' (exclusive) I think I will leave my husbands laptop totally un God Like! no telling what he would end up doing in there!(that I would have to try to fix) Plus it sounds like on some 64bit systems it can cause problems.

It is truly unfortunate that you or any member have concerns with their systems, particularly after upgrading the O/S. However, this happens time and time again where the euphoria of anticipation is doused by the rain of reality when a new O/S is released and user upgrades follow. Not all systems, all software or all peripherals will work as we know it, if at all, when an O/S upgrade is completed. For those who did the double jump from XP to W7 the trepidation is even greater. I personally have been recommending Vista users not to upgrade as I feel it is a waste of money due to the major duplicity of Vista and W7. If members are thinking that compatibility issues have been "fun" in the past wait until the release of W8. It will be a 128-bit O/S. DA

I await W7. I'm at work at the moment so I don't have my bookmarked pages available. W7 is not an actual new release, but rather an upgrade to Vista. Vista's architecure was security based where W7's is going to start with the Vista foundation but be be performanced focused. The available editions which we have become accustomed to are reported to be changing their content. The identifying names are pretty much the same, but the versions' capabilities have been refined. In all as I explain to people, the release of W7is quite similar to the release of Win98SE in improving Win98OE. Personally I haven't found anything wrong with my Vista system and I do forcast the habitual release "uproar" will be present with W7. I say this as I get the impression from talking with users, and reading posts and columns that the XP users are complacent with their systems and are not going to be too responsive and comfortable with any type of change. If so the plan is yours to share as you wish. Anything else and I am just not sure. More questions, though...blfelton is right, you cannot fit two full fridge/freezers on that short wall. Why can the cooktop not go on that wall and the fridge/freezer on the opposite wall? If your kitchen will open into a great room you may still have room for an island but you would have to reorient it so that it does not interfere with traffic from the doorway. You also said cooktop, but where will your oven go? 36" cooktop or 30"? Here is just a quickie mockup, given the dimensions you provided, a 36" cooktop and wall ovens besides two fridges. A 36x48 island will work just fine in that space, there is 42" between wall ovens and island and cooktop and island. Depending on how much you want to impede traffic pattern you could flip it 90 degrees and extend it. Just for the record, I am NOT recommending this layout, just trying to get a handle on your space and give you a visual on what you are trying to accomplish.
