IE 8 error msg

I installed IE8 on my desktop with XP Home and it appears to be working really good EXCEPT for an annoying error message that pops up everytime I leave the program and I think I see it sometimes during use.

It is ::::::::::::::

IE EXPLORER.EXE APPLICATION ERROR

The instruction at 0x03924e41 referenced momory at 0x00000000

The momory could not be "read"

Click on OK to terminate the program

----------------------------------------------------

The program appears to operate OK and shuts down OK its just getting bothersome.

Anyone know how to get rid of it?

It's likely one of the browser plug-ins conflicts.
Might goto IE Tools drop down menu and click 'Manage Add-Ons' and then the recomended method is to select 'Disable All' add ons. Then add them back one at a time and surf for a while until you hopefully discover the problem one.

do you by any chance have spybot on your pc? IE8 has been having conflict problems with spybot and in some cases spywareblaster.

Trying to uninstall IE8

Well, the computer has been running very slowly, and I've tried about everything else and the only program I've had any problems with has been IE8. I've stopped using IE8 and have been using FireFox, but in my infinite wisdom I decided to try to get rid of IE8 on this computer since I've been using it until the other one is running properly. Only it wasn't real bright to mess with the only computer that was running fairly well. Lesson learned! I tried reinstalling IE8 and got a message that said it didn't load properly. I even tried to uninstall it again, but still got the same error message.

I sometimes get that message when I have a loose connection, either with my cable modem or the Linksys router. It will clear after checking the connections and/or pushing the reset button. Just my 2 c's. Bejay
