Colleen as you know Meredith is in Australia and I must say loving every moment! It's true she missed our Canadian Thanksgiving and Halloween too but she has learned so much about the diversity of our world. Australia has been such a welcoming country to our young people, an experience she will never forget. My worse fear is that she won't come home! She is a wee bit uptight about not having snow and a Christmas tree for Christmas but she promises me that she'll be over it in a flash as she lays on the beach with all her new found friends! PS: I make your chocolate cake too, it's the best!

Sorry about the above post - I mixed my groups up! (I'm in 2 groups) - the above post was for Patchwork Pines. Today - 18th Jan - I received a block from Kate. It was posted on Jan 6th in Florida and arrived in Australia 16th January (10 days) The Christmas rush and postal strike backlog must be over now. Only 2 more for this group to come: Bill (lockeb) and Cathleen (cziga) Kristene (TinyTeena)

Very nice chas, the sunflowers are putting on a good show, and you can never go wrong with red rose. Like the look of the house too. B.

Hi Verandah, Greathawks and brissi555......I just happened to check the Australian Forum for tropical plants, is anyone still cultivate Plumerias/Frangipani ? I was actually in Brisbane for a month, visiting one of my sister and her families, she lives in the area of Chermside! Did any of you buy Plumerias at one of your local nurseries or from a website ? I'll be curious to know because I have 10 of them, here in the San Francisco peninsula. Well...good to know you....maybe you can check the GardenWeb Forums/Plumeria !! Hopefully I will find you in the near future, Annamaria
