dacor classic gas cooktop vs dcs cdu304
Comments (6)Thanks for the follow up and help guys! The only reason I was leaning towards Dacor classic was the bead blasted technology which seems to be easiest to clean (Cleaning being a top priority) Am I overrating the bead blast tech?? Its based on what I heard from the sales person and a few gw reviews... I looked at the DCS and the grates looked very bulky...i am pretty petite and had a hard time lifting it even :: ...so that is probably out for me even though it has the best reviews. I am a vegetarian (ie dont need high high BTUs for cooking) and do not know what simmering is used for traditionally. So, my concern for a extreme BTUs is limited....See MoreGas cooktops 36' Wolf vs Dacor
Comments (5)I believe the Wolf range top comes with either sealed OR open burners, or just the open burners, while the cooktop comes with only sealed burners. The AG range comes with open burners, the DF range comes with sealed burners. If you go to the Wolf/SZ webstie, you can find out for sure (loads of info, pics, specs....on their site). FWIW, we recently got a Wolf AG range. The open burners have a very tight opening, so barring a spillover, it's not too likely that much is going to end up on the drip tray anyway (which you can just line with foil, and replace when needed--nobody sees it unless you slide out the tray). As for cleaning the black enamel burner pans/range top, you'd need to do that whether your burners were sealed or open. With open burners, you can lift out the pans themselves (3 of them), and bring to the sink to clean, or just spritz them with your preferred cleaner/de-greaser, and wipe clean (which is what I've done so far). I'm not too big on cleaning the burner rings (unless they're really messy from spills), and they are easy enough to lift up and then clean (burnt on stuff is probably just as difficult or easy to remove on most burners; open or sealed). Hope this helps!...See MoreDacor Renaissance vs Dacor Distinctive Gas Cooktop
Comments (5)I'm looking at the 36" model of either one. After reading the forums, I was also considering the Thermador Masterpiece, Wolf, and Blue Star, but I don't know that I could justify the extra cost. Is there another gas cooktop that is more consistently recommended in the $1300 - $2000 range?...See MoreAnyone have the new GE Monogram gas cooktop with brass burner tops?
Comments (54)I’ve used Barkeepers friend without any issues. Those black marks would probably be removed with it. Almost a year with my all gas 30” range and I love it more every day. The oven may be the best oven I’ve ever used. I’m baking pizzas on a steel in it in 3 and a half minutes. Using a Combustion Inc. Predictive thermometer I can see how crazy evenly it heats too. Stove top is wonderful too, just wish it had another 21k btu burner with the triple ring. So even and hot. My copper pots sing on it. The LED is more fun than you’d think too!...See Moresayde
