We hired a guy that our neighbor recommended to redo our bathroom.

Funny, we met him at Church.

He did gut the bathroom, but he never cleaned up. Most of the mess has been on the lawn for 2 months.

We do have greenboard and hardi backer up. My husband had to repair the shower pipe which was not soldered. The water is off because the toilet valve is leaking.

We can't get this guy to return our phone calls for over a month. Our neighbor spoke to him and he says he is done here.

He kept asking me for more and more money, for the plumber, shower base, etc. I have given him more than 80% of the total estimate.

I have been trying to get his tile guy here to finish the job, even if I have to pay him more than what I owe that is left on the estimate.

The only other estimaate that I could get was double what this guy said he would do the job for. Really all I got was the prep work.

I also paid for all the material. I have tile, fixtures grout, floor heat. about $4000 worth sitting in the spare room.

Any suggestions?
