Yahoo question

When I start to type in an address, like amazon.com for example, the drop-down used to offer suggestions which I could just click. Now there are no drop-down suggestions, so I have to type the whole address.

I assume this feature was disabled when a friend was here working on the computer, but I miss it and would like to reactivate it. How?

It sounds like the history has been deleted. Try typing in and navigating to an address, then next time you start typing in that address it should auto-complete. If that doesn't work, then auto-complete may have been disabled. Which browser do you use?

In IE8 Vista, Internet Options/Content(tab)/AutoComplete.
Few little items, one is browsing history.

Do you 'need' the Yahoo toolbar? You can set Yahoo as your search engine by choosing Tools, Manage Add Ons and then click on Search Providers. Choose Yahoo, Click on Toolbars and Extensions and disable Yahoo Toolbar (right click, disable). Restart IE. The problem with toolbars is that their behavior is unpredictable.

I have 11 now also but it appears the calendar is still on 10. I'm thinking that it may all straighten out in a few days. I sure hope so. We did run windows updates too.

All my typing in Yahoo mail was blue this morning! And it wouldn't "send" my messages, either! I kept getting a message to try again later. It seems to have been fixed a few minutes ago.
