how do I add pics to a half full CD?

Is there a way to add pics to a half full Cd? Picasa won't do it.

unless it's a CD R/W, I don't believe you can, at least I haven't been able to.

once you have finished burning a batch to a cd it is done, if it happens to be a R/W like randy mentioned you may be able to add more but if it is not a re writable one nope can not do it.

The beast answer found but I feel I have seen multiple Pics vs multiple links as I have used from Photobucket. Now the question is were those Pics merged into one and posted. They did not appear to be as I can merge in Word and my email. I'll find one of the post in question and ask the person that sent the post. For now I understand!! Attaching a photograph: This forum supports the ability to attach one single photograph per post. The photograph must be 60K or smaller (which can be rather small unless it is a close up). You can also provide pictures by using a photohosting site like Photobucket, Flikr, Picasa, ImageShack, Webshots, Shutterfly, SmugMug, Snapfish, etc. These sites usually let you create a free account and upload full sized pictures. Once your photo (or photos) is uploaded, you will be given a link to share your pictures with others. Copy that link and paste it in the body of your message. You can have multiple links if you have multiple pictures. If you want to attach a picture here (60K or smaller), first compose your message and then select "preview message". On the next screen you will see a preview of your message and a box that says Image file to upload (optional): Choose the "browse" button to find the picture on your computer (or thumb drive). Select it and attach it. Preview your message once more and then select "submit". If you need to attach another picture, you will need to create a new post. If you want to practice, find the "Test" forum in the list of all forums.

Your kitchen is beautiful. It just needs a little fun added to it. The valance that starts from the ceiling with the stage coach ties would be a good choice. I think that picture is a great example of how you can bring colors into the room from the fabric. Also, I would suggest using the same valance in the dining area. The picture with the shorter valance looks too choppy. I would look for a print fabric that had some of the colors of the granite in it. I really like the iron art over the stove although I would prefer to see a tile BS, if funds allow it. The dining table needs a large colored art bowl. I agree with Igloo, the colbat just doesn't make it and you need to pull in the golds and rusts. Colbalt blue actually sticks out like a sore thumb but it may work if you have art or fabric with a little colbalt blue in it along with rusts and golds. I would not use any rug in an eating area unless you were using a glass table. The patio doors look fine without any treatment but a valance would add some warmth to the room and still give you full view (use one that starts from the ceiling) Don't worry about tying in the white appliances. I would just ignore them since the wood trim is painted white (that's enough white). Once you get the window treatments squared away, I would like to see some colored accessories in the glass cabs instead of plain white. JMHO

Thank you all again for the feedback. I'm really leaning towards sacrificing the laundry room and going with a powder room. The more I think about it and think about the way I do laundry, I believe the ROI (for me) on a separate powder room would be greater. I'm attaching a drawing, but I there really isn't much to work with. The area outlined it red is initially going to be a family room, but in a couple of years it will convert to an in-law-suite, so we want/need to keep that area separate the way it is (so ignore the bathroom there, that's part of the suite). The room labeled with the red L and blue B is the current laundry room, proposed change to powder room/mudroom. The alcove with the blue L is where I am thinking of moving the laundry, and the red X in the area to the far right is the location of the main floor bathroom in the existing house. And yes, we have walls, I just didn't draw them out! :-)

You can get more of your look but it will be easier if you embrace your love of blue and white and think less of gray:) On the plus side, newer design pics show lots of white, warm woods and less gray. I admit my least favorite thing about the kitchen is the paneled fridge followed closely by the over the range microwave which I could not even reach:) Actually, The first thing I would do is nothing since this is a new to you home. Then you can assess what really is bothering you, and your husband may relent on some changes, and you may have a better idea of a budget. In my own kitchen I did change the counters, subway tile backsplash and short apron Kohler Whitehaven farm sink. If I had lots of storage, I might want to remove some of the cabinets on the window wall and put in a larger window or replace the cabinet to the right of the sink with shelves or a plate rail cabinet. I admit mine is more for decor then use - but I love the look. A carpenter can rework that cabinet into a plate rail cabinet. That is not cheap but if I could do that in my kitchen I would, but it is too small. I would look into whether or not ordinary doors are available for the fridge. I would replace the OTR Microwave with a vented hood. I would put up a pretty roman shade. Here is my wood kitchens idea book. Maybe something will inspire. You sure can. The commercial application Roxio will allow you to add to a previously created CD if you do not "close" it thus keeping it "appendable". I do it often with my Quicken backup, and on occasion with pictures.

There are perhaps other applications, maybe even free.

I thought if you finished the burn that made it closed and not appendable? Well I learned something new. But I think I always do the finish or close on the ones I do so that I know they will work. Even on a plain one time write cd you can do that? I did not know that.

Yup! Just did it yesterday with Quicken on a continuing CD-R. That's why a while back if you recall my Roxio EZ-CD Creator corrupted and I asked for information on the then current version. I liked the ability. Also, remember we are talking data/photos here not music. In music the closing action makes a difference if it is to be a generic replay for most anywhere or on the computer of creation. (I think I got that right.)

Disclaimer: I have yet to try it on a DVD-R (minus). I guess I should to see if the privilege is the same.

I do remember that you were looking for the Roxio. Thanks for that info I will have to try it. I knew for music(at least I thought so too) that it did have to be finalized for it to work on most players so that would be why no more could be added. Cool.

I was thinking about this as I was on the rider mowing the lawn. Yes it is that time again. The one down side to using an appendable disk is file/folder naming. If the name has been previously used it will not automatically copy. The user will be notified of the duplicity, and offered the option to "replace" or ignore. This is particularly true in photos when they are stored just by the camera file identifier. So to avoid this a user has to develop a file naming system to facilitate on-going storage.

I do the music with Roxio, but always close it because I put on all I can, there is no reason to add. The CDs are cheap enough to toss if you want to change it. I buy a hundred for sometimes $15.

Closing/finalizing a music CD is good practice for the above mentioned reason.
