I started to send out some pics, but was having such a problem w/Photobucket...I worked over an hr..then lost EVERYTHING~~ grrrrrr

Well...anyway, I'm giving it another try..

My Front Entry

We were limited on the amount of lights on this tree,as DH had MAJOR problems w/lights..blowing fuses..but that's a whole other episode!! (He's looking into buying more lights..help me please!) ..also this was taken before I put burlap around the bottom of the tree stand.

Dining Room W/Tree...When I was a teenager, my mother would put up a tree in my room..some the Ornaments on this tree are from then.

Thank you for your generous comments. I have no idea why we cant take a decent picture. When the flash is on, the picture looks super over exposed, and when it is off, everything looks blurry and golden. Hubs took some dining table pics and added them to the photobucket. I still do not have a decent pic of my Living Room Christmas Tree. We think that the camera is registering the blinky lights as movement. Every photo comes out blurred like a ghost tree.

Dawn, you are my type of girlfriend. I love old stuff too, and my dream is like yours - to have a quaint little shop - but like you said, it is very difficult for small shops to survive these days. I have had a gift shop in the past and just when things were going good, the DOT came in and widen the road which came right across the little country house I was renting. Was really sad to let it go because I sold not only what I painted and made but also older things that had been decorated, along with new things. Women loved coming to the shop even just to sit around and talk. The men loved the swing on the front porch. Heck, even when the shop was closed my friends would show up and we would sit in the rocker and swing, drink sweet tea and talk. Life was good (but a lot of work).

thanks ladies for all your nice comments and support, it means alot to me! I am jumping on here early at work, because you guessed it (those of you who know my computer troubles)! Argghhh I think my home lap top has totally crashed again. It worked off and on all of and hour or so yesterday, when I went to shut down it would NOT shut down. When I woke up this a.m. it had a blue screen saying: "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. It said to restart my computer. Well it won't restart! Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I even tried doing a F8 which it suggested (on the fixed blue screen), nothing there worked either. I am going nuts here! Last time it crashed I took it to the Geek organization at the Big computer store, they did a terrible job, I had to bring it back 3 times for them to do it right, and they are supposedly computer people!!!!!! So if anyone knows which buttons I am supposed to hit please let me know (oh yes, I also tried Control-Alt-Delete, that did nothing either. I will try posting this in the computer section of GW too. This is just such a bad time to happen again..sigh...

WOW! I looked at all of your pics. I love your porch. I started to say I especially liked a shot, but stopped because I especially liked something in every shot! You have more decorations than I will be having this year. Everything looks great. Now you can relax and enjoy the rest of the season. Or you can do like us and keep on shopping and adding through the whole season! I've just about got my tree the way I want it and just realized I had bought the greenery to do my mantle swag after Christmas last year and haven't bought the first thing to decorate it with!! Your's is very nice, BTW. Wish I was finished. Betty

Love your sled and the wagon, both are great! Your beaded fruit looks so festive on the table and I love your tree, especially that little bunny. Great that your shed is red, it looks all holiday festive too. Lovely pics of your lovely home Jane. TFS. Luvs

Jane, love everything! Wow.....snow.... I can just see that shed in a Norman Rockwell painting. The pond, love it. Your front porch, your sled, your wagon, you've made everything fit so perfectly with your surroundings. Kicking myself for not picking up the tabbaggon (forgive the spelling....I've tried and can't get it right) we found at an antique store a couple days ago....grrrrr

Your china cabinet.... great inspiration! I've got some nick-knacks that I just don't know what to do with and really didn't want to clear out mine, pack things up and decorate it ..... duh, add to it! Project for tomorrow.

Your dining room tree....love it.... I'm hoping that what I have saved for my kids to take with them, will find a special place with them like that!

mommacass..thank you both..so glad you liked it all.

luvs..thank you too...The little bunny (aka) 'Little Bunny Fuu Fuu, was a gift from a friend. I also have another, a boy, who's on a different tree...They are some of my favorites. That red shed does 'stand out proud' in the snow, this time of year...espec with the greens.

Alex, thanks for the nice compliments. When we moved, we had given away our old sleds..then were very sorry..but, there are many to be found at Flea Mkts and Estate sales..so I'm sure you'll discover another toboggan (sp)
That's where we found our wagon for $35!! As far as your kids decorations...after I had my DD I asked my mom if she still had mine, and she was so happy that I cared to take them...So have faith.

I sure enjoyed seeing all your photos That sled 'n wagon is wonderful on the porch. Your tree is so beautiful. I think I need to save these photos for our Xmas album. Oh, and the Nativity is really pretty too!

I love all your vintage decorations. I especially love what you've done with your front door area. It looks wonderful with your red door and the snow brings it all together. I love the closeups of your special ornaments, too.

I love all your decorations! Really like outside with the sled, iceskates etc. That's awesome!

Really like how your dishes are in your china cabinet. You have a lot in there yet it doesn't look junky! Also like the blue dishes.

I love the way you wrapped the ribbon around the tree, it looks great.

I bought an old Flexible Flier sled at a yard sale some years back and used it one year at Christmas. I wish I still had it, but we gave it to a nephew--who I suspect never used it much. These days the kids like saucers and inflatable tubes much better than the old-fashioned sleds.

That display outside your front door is perfect. Your dining room tree looks great and I am sure all the ornaments have a history behind them but they seem to work nicely with your dining room valences!!

And your blue dishes, wow!! Sorry, I know I am supposed to look at the decorations but those dishes are gorgeous. :)

Would you send me a sled?? No such creations here in the south! Even though we do get an inch once a year. I love all your decorations. The tree is beautiful it's wonderful that you have some treasures from your childhood. Keep the pictures comming.

love2weed..This for me, was an early snow..It's nice to have right before Christmas tho. But once it's over, I'm looking towards spring, and 'weeding' ...lol

pdg..thank you..as I said to love2weed, snow is nice for the holidays..then >>> COME ON SPRING!!

shee..glad you liked the skates and sled..as for the china cabinet..not looking 'junkie'.. I'm always arranging and rearranging, esp during holidays, and try not to get it too busy..some times I take pics so I don't forget after I've arranged it just so!!

lovesummer...just your name alone, makes me pine for the summer, right after New Years!!.. My original sleds, I unfortunately gave away too, however, we did find these at Flea Mkts.. I know what you mean about kids today not thinking these are 'cool' to use anymore..Great for us to use as decos tho!! lol

mo..thank you...Glad you liked the B&W...they took me many yrs of Bargain hunting - tag sales - estate sales - flea mkts..I love them too and never tire of them.

sandi..that wagon was a great find. The couple we purchased it from, said it was time to give it up and move on...I've been using it now for different displays..and I'm so happy to be it's 'new owner'! ..lol
