Computer problem or setting glitch?

Moved to a new house. Prior to the move, we had 4 computers running off a wireless router. One desktop was hardwired to the modem. We moved into a new place and am running all computers wireless, none are hardwired. I had to purchase a small wireless adapter (Cisco) for the desktop.

All the computer run without problem except the desktop. Every time I log off, inactivity or restart the wirelss ability stops. The drive doesn't even show the adapter. I have to unplug the adapter and replug. Then it shows and searches for the signal and all is well. I don't lose the wireless ability as long as I am actively using the computer.

Its not losing the wireless signal, the adapter literally dissapears from the drive as if its not plugged in.

Have no idea what is causing this. Could it be the drive?

Thanks,

Jane
