I've had things on my computer, stuff that came along with something I downloaded. Found them, got rid of them with antivirus/spyware programs. But, what I would like to know more about are programs such as keyloggers, etc which may have been installed on a computer by an individual wanting to spy on a second user.

What would someone look for?

How easy are these programs to disable?

Are these installed programs easy to detect, and .... how?

Are these programs listed in the results of a virus check?

Are these programs easily obtainable?

And, in case you're wondering, nope I'm not worried about my computer.....just curious.

For the average computer user I would suggest keyloggers to be something there is no need to worry about. Teenagers about the house or a jealous/cheating spouse might provide a cause however. Just my thoughts of course

L Clark, yes, corn takes well to transplanting, but again I impress it is NOT to be sown too early, just requires a 3 to 4 week greenhouse head start before setting out into the garden. I use those very small cell packs and carefully tickle and free up the circling roots at the bottom. I also do cucumber transplants, though these are trickier and tend to VERY quickly stretch to become spindly and they resent root disturbance. I plant out about a 20 ft row of pickling cucumbers and generally harvest at least 100 lbs or more. Always select cucumber varieties with a stated high degree of leaf disease resistance! Pollination can be problematic within greenhouses, when possible be sure to leave doors and sides open to encourage the bees and wind to get inside. Those first few bloom clusters produced on young grape vines seldom tend to set much of anything, of courses the following years only get better! I did have established grape vines within a solarium, in about year four, I had big, delicious clusters of seedless 'Himrod' hanging down! I can't recall if I simply had shaken the bloom clusters a bit or had used a soft paintbrush upon them, just google to find out what's best to do.

I agree that plants by itself are an art piece, but just as an art piece looks better when it fits the room it's in , so different plants can be used with more or less success as decorative sculptures in the room. and as such they need a frame if you will. the proper pot can really enhance a plant or perhaps supporting poles in form of an artful scaffold of sorts that is sculptural. grouping plants together of course can be beautiful, in several pots or in a large pot as an arrangement. if you think of a plant grouping as a bouquet, you can develop some ideas about what can work as sculpture/support. it does not have to be anchored in the pot , it could be behind or next to it. then the mirrors, lighting and objects around also can be used to create various moods. you see where I am going ? :) of course, when combining the plants you need to know their growing requirements, but also look at the colors of the foliage. combine close or contrasting colors. look at leaf shapes too. think quilt..some colors go others do not. all of the above showcases the plants, but also adds a decorative element to them. whether indoors or outdoors.

Hmmm.....Did you buy these seeds new this year? The only reason I'm asking is because I bought Blue Lake bush beans (Burpee) this year and they sprouted okay when I planted them in May, but about a month later I planted more and many of them did not sprout. I have to say, though, that until now, I've grown the blue lake pole beans, which have always sprouted. My other bush beans (Maxibel, Romano) did fine. I did start to wonder about the Burpee seeds that were sold this year.

Nope..........but I wouldn't be surprised to come across some of these things on a friend's machine. Very controlling, jealous..paranoid, hubby.

Controlling and paranoid, not good, but a little jealousy can be good. The way I see it, this includes governmental wire taps, I'm not doing anything wrong, so I don't care. The key-logger I want to protect against is one trying to get into my financial interfaces.

I'd think/guess the anti-spyware software that looks for key-loggers would also detect those installed directly on a computer.

I have a neighbor who bragged about putting keyloggers on their computers to get their babysitters passwords. He would check her emails and find out what she was saying about him. He and his wife fired her because of things she said about them to her friends.

She never knew they had her passwords and I wonder if she ever changed them. She was a sweet girl and he was a nut-job.
