Our niece gave us one for Christmas two years ago and we have it on a table just inside the front door. I add fresh scent to it about once a month. We often don't know where to put gifts that others choose for us but this we have really enjoyed.

I have a friend that put a basket with handle on the floor next to chair, couch whatever... and put white christmas tiny lights in it and white dried arrangements with teeny tiny white flowers on them. You've seen them at craft stores used for wreaths, flower arrangement as filler.
It's simple and attractive.

I beleive the lights had a white cord too, which makes cord not show as much.

I've done this as hostess gifts over the years.

I prefer using the white lights and actually keep one running all year in my downstairs bathroom. (Plug it in before company or as needed!)
