@thisisnotadrill That is a great suggestion that I just did last night and it saved me $20 and maybe my marriage! I cut out both the rectangular, the quadrilateral as well as the triangle shelf and the other corner shelf that is triangular but more squared off. Everything will fit on two of them. I almost ordered the quadrilateral one but the wife prefered the shelf-E with corner/squared off one. Plus, I am putting one of the triangle corner shelves at the first grout line 24" high for her to put her foot on to help shave her legs.

This may not help you, but we are having a shower built with the long side on an outside basement wall. Since the bottom portion will be on a thick cement foundation, and the top just a normal 2X4 (older house) studded wall, we are having the wall made with a shelf running the whole length. In our case it will be about 8 feet long and also becomes the window sill. So, it will be one 7-8" deep shelf 4 feet long in the shower- that should hopefully hold all the shampoo bottles, etc. In our present MB shower I have a corner shelf that is affixed with suction cups- it is fairly attractive and the cups hold really well. I have noticed a huge increase in aftermarket choice for shower fixtures. But, seems a shame to not have something built in when you're starting from scratch!

We have a porcelain tile shower and were wondering if it is possible to add a couple premade corner shelves without having to remove any existing tiles. Has anyone done this? Thanks!

warning - old post that i have a question about - @palimpsest - I want to add a long shelf in my alcove tub/shower combo vs. having a niche installed. Sounds like exactly what you did in your bathrooms. Would you mind posting some photos + a brief explanation of how it was installed? My contractor and I have discussed a couple ideas, but I’m still looking for the best way to do this. Thanks!
