The site lightingdirect dot com has a search feature for bathroom lighting, 6 or more lights and I see some there. I strongly urge you not to replace it with this same style. It is so dated...that's why you are having trouble finding it. I just helped prep an older relative's home for sale and removing/replacing the strip light of globes was just about the only change the real estate agent suggested. Something like the one linked below is so much more attractive. My 3 light vanity light like this points down and the light at the mirror is great. I believe many of these can be installed pointing either up or down. Here is another one. I installed a pair of these skinny Kovac fixtures in my bathroom remodel and they have been great: Kovacs sconce The backplate is less than 5" wide. The fixture comes in a variety of finishes and bulb types. I chose the halogen version because it puts out the most light (120 watts per fixture). Here is the kind of light they provide:

I came here looking for similar information. I have 57-in width and a 36 wide medicine cabinet that cannot be flush installed. That leaves 21", or 10.5" on each side for these petite shaded sconces. Since the medicine cabinet definitely cannot be recessed, I'm trying to figure out if the sconces are going to look crowded next to the depth of the medicine cabinet. The medicine cabinet has its own lighting, so I'm not worried about that. The sconces will be room lighting if someone isn't doing detail work at the mirror. I guess I'm going to have to prop everything up and see if I can figure this out. I'm surprised there aren't guidelines or articles out there on this situation.

Hanna I am running into the same issue with the lighting—particularly since my bathroom is modern. What did you end up going with and did it work out? I hope so
