Need help on small red x

Computer is XP. On my email received information from a company showing their catalog with postage stamps/collections to buy. Everything is ok BUT, today went to the email, and instead of pages I get red x. I have two brousers I switch back and forth Mozella Firefox I have to use to get into a chat room from APS and then Internet Explorer. I also ran CCleaner yesterday. I think I am using IE now. What can I do to get rid of the red X.

Are you saying you get a sort of square with a red x in it instead of the pages showing the stamps or whatever? The problem seems to be on the sending end, not on your machine.

Might try pushing the F5 key .. it refreshes/reloads most windows.

I hope you're not getting tired of my replies, but Valentine is another suggestion. I had it in a dry location in the ground for years where it survived and bloomed, but it's doing much better in a container where I can keep it better watered. It blooms practically nonstop throughout the season. The flowers burn around the edges in the high heat of summer, but in the spring and fall they are perfect. It has the added attraction of being thornless. I never noticed much of a fragrance, but someone commented on HMF that it does. Maybe it's one of those off and on again kinds of fragrance. 1) Should I go with a wall mounted toilet? Don't even know if my 1952 wall would fit the reservoir - how I can check that? It's also expensive...is it worth the $? We have a new wall mounted toilet in our hall bath and one in our very small master bath too. I really like the extra room and the openess it adds to the room ambience BUT... I don't like the fact that a toilet brush must be used VERY frequently. We have Toto fixtures (Aquia) and before we bought our second one, I thought about getting Duravit but then someone posted on this forum where they had the samee problem with the Duravit toilet. From what I can figure out (I've read this nowhere else), seems because the toilet is wall mounted, the "cavity" is much deeper instead of being a wider bowl like most toilets. Because of this, the procelain isn't wet all the time and "things" stick to it more easily. That is what I'm seeing. I wouldn't change our choice of wall mounted now that I know this but I AM very disappointed. Best decision I made was to include a wall mounted toilet brush adjacent to make it a little easier/quicker to clean. Amazon has a Hansgrohe brand for $50 which works well. Good luck. 2) Where to position the lights - the vanity will be custom made with off-centered sink. Do I need only one LED can in the middle of the room or a pendant above sink etc.? Can't have too much light IMO. If in doubt, add. 4) Wall faucet maybe to save space and easy to clean? No complaints about our wall faucet. would definitely do this again though in the back of my mind, I struggle with the idea of having problems accessing if there is ever a problem. Buy first rate fixtures and have a smart contractor is one thing that eases my mind a bit. 3) Where to put all of the bathrooms accessories - towel holders etc. I don't have any free wall space for that??? I bought a 4 ft wide medicine cabinet, Pegasus (don't get it from Home Depot - there shipping broke ours twice, finally ordered from Plumbers Supply). Also bought two "hotel" towel shelves for installing over the toilet for folding extra towels. You also have room at the base of your tub for a couple of hooks for towels (or a least one) looks to me. Or what about a swing out towel bar between the toilet and the wall with the pocket door. Is there a tv? What will you being using the room for most of the time? It sounds like a lovely space with lots of light. You could go in a number of directions with color. I would probably plan on two chairs rather than just one, but it would help if you could post a picture. We have a space of about that size in which I have four comfy, but not huge chairs around a round coffee table.

Being in a majority cooling degree day climate, the aluminum frame is not as big a penalty in your region. If that gives you the look and dimensions you need, go that route.

I tried the F-5 key and got the information. Don't know what is wrong but I will be running both Spyware and malware to check things out.

Thought I had it fixed, but it did it again. Only on one posting and sometimes I see the pictures and sometimes I don't Started after I used CCleaner and I have tried everything people here suggested. may have to wait until another emai from that company comes in.

CCleaner is causing the problem with my colors of visited and unvisited threads. I ran it today and all the threads were blue.

One time my I had a problem with MS Security Essentials, it would update but it would not retain the info and it was the CCleaner. I removed a check mark in there and it was ok then.

You might try looking in CCleaner's utilities, there is an office photo manager that is checked. If you have that you might remove the check mark and see if that fixes it. Look for anything associated with pictures and remove the check mark.

Pictures in most emails ARE Temporary Internet Files, which is one of the main reasons to have CCleaner,, to clean out Temporary Internet Files.

Probably a browser setting on how your browser handles reloading pages. Its not reloading the page each time you view it. That's why the F5 works.

Mikie, if it is not my CCleaner why would the colors change to one color ONLY after I use CCleaner?

You or CCleaner, deleted history I think. Your browser doesn't know what links you have visited after the history is cleared.

Here's my CCleaner settings in the tinypic site. It ignores history so my links always are visited or not always. Unless I run the Disk Cleanup from the drive or some other extensive cleaning program.

Thank you MIkie, it was CCleaner as I thought but I had not changed anything in there and it was alright at one time. That is the way it was with my MS Security Essentials, one day it worked, the next day it didn't and I had not changed a thing. I googled and found the solution to that problem.

I removed the two check marks you have removed in the photo. Thanks again.

Spoke to soon about this problem. You clued me in on what to look for solving the problem. It is not much of a problem anyway. It's just a mystery to solve.

Me again. Got a email from someone else and pictures did not show. Only got a red x. I know I either did something wrong or???? Any help.

OK now I really don't know what happened. Googled computer problem-red x and went to the microsoft site. They asked if I wanted them to fix it and I said yes. Now I see the pictures on that one site with the stamps fine!
But don't ask me what happened!
We will see.
