I would not be too concerned about the tachycardia (rapid heart beat) which is probably all associated with your daughter's condition and being pregnant. Hopefully the amniotic fluid has increased with their treatment. If not and your wee grandchild needs to be induced, then that will be a great thing, not too premature. Tammy I wish your daughter all the very, very best - I am sure it will work out for you all and that you have a wonderful Christmas. I think too when the baby is born, your other daughter will be delighted for her sister and hopefully will look forward to an uncomplicated pregnancy and birth in the near future. She will be well monitored and of course the baby will be, especially because of previous history. Hopefully, your daughter realizing this will give her the strenght and encouragement to try again. I'm not sure why people want to use ketchup and lemons to clean pans when they are only trying to use the acid in those ingredients. It seems very wasteful to me, but then I do not even have ketchup on hand and will certainly not buy it for cleaning. Lemons are a bit expensive compared to other cleaning products, and I would not want to waste the precious lemons I have in my yard to clean a pan - it seems that vinegar should be able to do the same job, or perhaps some other cleaning product. I do have trouble cleaning burnt oil from the inside of some of my pans, including a Revere Ware pan. In the past, I have covered it with cleanser (usually Ajax), added water, and then let it sit overnight. That worked fairly well - do not know if it would work with copper, but I have used baking soda and vinegar on copper with good results. I had similar problems when trying to use my mother's electric stove, which I hated. I never knew which burner I had turned on, and the knobs were labeled so that I could not tell which was which. On my new stove, I can easily tell which know goes with each burner, but then they also used a logic that makes sense to me, and so for me they are intuitive. I must think like an Italian. I have one induction burner, and for me, that is enough - I generally prefer gas, but I do like the induction for use with my pressure cooker. I might try it for melting chocolate and keeping it melted. I've been using a bain-Marie. Good luck fixing your pan - I hope it is recoverable.

I know that as far as birds go, Swainson's hawks can have trouble finding nesting sites since by the time they arrive from Argentina in the spring, most spots are taken by red tails and such. They often are forced to nest on less desirable spots like power poles which can be very dangerous and also puts them at risk for being destroyed as a "nuisance" or a "hazard." Bees though, I am a little surprised. Many of our native bees, including bumble bees, arw ground nesting, and the rest typically utilize small cavities. Neither would be affected by nesting birds that I could imagine.
