I've never seen anything like that and it seems unlikely flash or a web site would cause that, I watched the Monks Brother episode or something like that yesterday on that site an all was well.

I'm sure it was on this forum many years ago I learned about using the Accessibility utility to replace the mouse incase it ever stops working. Every computer I have had since then has been setup to use the number pad for an emergecy mouse. Only once have I had to use it, but its nice knowing I don't have to worry if my mouse goes haywire or stops working. Here is a link that might be useful: Using

There are thousands of characters, mostly used for Chinese, music, math and the like but some are for fun - and there are several ways to enter some of them. ⥠is made by holding down the alt key and entering 3 on the number pad. ⥠is made by & then # then 9829 then semicolon but don't show up until I click preview. ⥠is made with & followed by the word hearts followed by a semicolon and doesn't show until after I click preview. FWIW, using the alt+backspace to clear the line, you can use Ctrl+backspace to clear a word at a time. Alt+left arrow will move your browser back a page, alt+right arrow will move forward a page. Backspace will move your browser back a page, shift+backspace will move it forward a page. In Opera, the x & z keys will work for forward and back a page. Ctrl+z is undo and the levels it'll go back depend on the program and situation. Ctrl+y is Redo with same provisions as undo. There's a bunch of keyboard shortcuts that simplify the computer. I like them much better than the mouse for many things.
