Windows Live Hotmail won't let me send

I just copy/pasted something short from a website and tried to send. Yellow bar popped up and said they couldn't send and gave me the option to report this to MS. This happened last week but I thought it was size or site related--NOT.

I tried Yahoo email and it sent just fine. (Actually I sent it to my own Hotmail acct. then on to where it was supposed to go in the first place.) Most of my email goes through but copy paste seems to be a problem only in some instances. Wouldn't let me send either of those to my drafts folder either. Any ideas what's going on? Your wisdom would sure be appreciated. Thanks, Sandy

I use live hotmail as my primary email and have not had any of those type problems at all so I can't help much other than to say mine does not do that. I would check the settings options and see if you may have something in there set that would cause that? Interesting that it would go ahead and forward that same content once you had sent it to hotmail from yahoo.
try instead of doing the copy paste with the right click instead do the control c and control v to copy and paste and see if that works, I remember reading some where in some instances the new live preferred that method over the other.

Thanks, Raven. I just tried to send the same thing from Hotmail to my Yahoo addy and it sent fine. It had no reason to question the content as it was from nystate.gov and last weeks that didn't work was on dogs.

Must be some kind of fluke that pops up sometimes. I've saved your info for future flukes. Thanks, Sandy

I ran the Troubleshooter, and it said it found no problems. The Update Readiness Tool didnÃ¢ÂÂt find/fix the problem either. The taskbar icon for updates still has a red x by it and still says that Windows couldnÃ¢ÂÂt search for new updates. I tried the System File Checker, but it came up with the message Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation. IÃ¢ÂÂm wondering if thatÃ¢ÂÂs caused by the same problem or an entirely different one. I guess my next step is to let someone read the cbs log, as suggested by zep. I'll go to LandzDown for that. Dee

The string is from a balancer that needs to be replaced. If the window is less then ten years old it is under warranty. If you replace the one, you might as well replace both (one on each side). It can be caused by age, or more frequently someone installs blinds incorrectly and screws right through the balancer. Or an alarm installer drills through it. Or when the molding was installed around your window the contractor nailed through it. There is a sticker on the head jamb stating not to nail within 7 inches from the side jamb.

Totally agree with the "desappear" problem. I still wouldn't be worried about him falling if you had correct coverage. I have had 4 roofs replaced due to hail, and a 4 car garage burn up. None of these items have affected my rates. Sorry if I came off harsh, bad thing about internet is you cant tell ones tone. Still am curious if a guy needs to be bonded. I have never checked this and am curious why I should. I have checked this with property managers where they were collecting my rents and holding them for a month. ANYWAY I believe people don't repair windows as its not a big money maker. I have fixed a few things on double hung windows and you never know what you are getting into untill after you've started. I would say to repair a window is almost the same amount of labor as installing a new window. The new window allows the company to profit on labor and materials. So for it to be cost effective I would guess the window company would actually have to charge more labor for fixing a window than installing one. Other thing my window installer friend said is old windows just aren't as efficent as new ones and its just a good idea to replace if working or not. Good Luck!

Let's not pretend that a tract or production builder taking advantage of the power dynamic for a bait and switch is unusual. It is close to the entire business model of many tract builders. If it is hard for you to imagine a tract builder showing a customer a drawing of a house that they know doesn't match the house that will get built, then you are not trying very hard because it happens all the time. In fact, I will argue that if nine out of ten people just say, "the house has still has plenty of windows," then he can turn adding windows he already promised into a profitable endeavor and even if he has to eat one in ten, it is still a great profit making tool for him. The OP notes, "We have already signed the drawings 6 months ago agreeing that these were our plans." Assuming that the OP actually did sign off on that drawing it seems something worth getting professional help from someone who is an expert in contracts...

Sandy for what it is worth I had the exact same problem last Friday. I though it was perhaps I was copying .html code from my airline site and pasting it into the text box. I ended up typing the information in which of course worked fine. I haven't tried since.

Try holding down the ctrl key then click send...
