what size light fixture over bathroom vanity?
Comments (2)It'll be fine. Leaves a foot on each end, so it will look nice and uncluttered. Most multi-light bars over the mirror actually put out too much light, IMO. I have a three light over a 36, and use 20 watt bulbs in it. Anything more is too much. The trend today is side lighting, which really is more flattering-- hides the crows feet and wrinkles until you enter the real lit-from-above world, at which time you look like you again. But it would be very tight given the size of your mirror....See MoreWhat size mirror and light bar over 36in vanity
Comments (2)If you want to use a medicine cabinet I would probably stay with the 24 inch and use side lights. You'll need to keep in mind that a bar light above the medicine cabinet will need to extend enough to clear the depth of the cabinet, so finding such a light may be difficult. There are cabinets that have built-in lights so you may want to look at those. Check these out. If you choose a cabinet with built-in lights, I'd go with a wider than 24" cabinet. Other option: keep the light fixture you have and put in a framed, or unframed mirror that is a little wider than the lights. Comments (4)I would try to get a shorter light bar..or a light designed in a way where two sconces come out of one plate, for example.. I think there should be some difference in width between the lighting and the mirror I might not pay any attention to it in someone else's home-but it my own it would be slightly bugging me also, the bar itself seems a bit too..substantial, for a frameless mirror. maybe something thinner, or more fluid in shape? of course I see them on the pic and not in a real life; that can influence how i imagine them together....See More72" light bar over vanity mirror
