I keep getting OOPS message

I am trying to reach a gardenjunk website. I was able to reach the site for about 3 days (a new site) then, suddenly I get this message.

Oops something went wrong!

Either the site is offline or an unhandled error occurred. We apologize and have logged the error. Please try your request again or if you know who your site administrator is let them know too.

The site administrator is a friend and it is not them, but something on my computer that is preventing me from reaching the site.No one else seems to have the problem.

I have Windows XP, use Windows Internet Explorer, I have the windows firewall. If you need to know anything else about my computer to help me out I will be HAPPY to provide you with the information.

I had been an assistant manager of this site for years and would really like to be able to participate again.

Is this the website?

You can paste it in -Start - Control Panel - Security Tab -
Click Trusted Site - Add it their and also in Privacy Tab.
And Restart.
Check your AntiVirus - Turn it off to see if you can get in.
Up date your Java if needed.
Test here.

No, the site is www.gardenjunk.org. The site has only been up about 1 month.

I have turned off my antivirus and tried to get in but was unsuccessful. I will try your other suggestions. Many thanks!

I don't know why, but it happened to me, too. And I'm a newbie so I was really confused! Seems it's some sort of 'control' GW has so that people don't double post maybe? If you are going to post soon after you just posted in the same thread, you need to change the subject of that post (editable box above message box) and then it will let you post.

Simply because I can't recall them, genius - I was too busy trying to cook and keep the thing going to feed a gaggle of kids rather than take down notes with a view to perhaps hopping on a forum later in the day. Alternatives only came into the equation afterwards when I discussed the problem with the school and pastor. Anything else constructive you'd like to add, rain cloud?

It worked OK for me.
You might go to Internet Option - Advance Tab and click on
Restore Advance Settings and in Folders Options click on
Restore Default.
If you think any settings have been changed.

I overlooked one location. Internet Options - Content Tab -
Click Enable - Rating Tab - and especially go to -
Approved Sites.
This last one to paste www.gardenjunk.org in and click
approved.

Works for me too. First thing I do when anomolies like this happen, is to run an independant virus check (Housecall) and do a couple of spyware scans (Spybot and Adaware).

Actually, there appears to be no actual WWW.gardenjunk.org on their web server. Or its server is configured to Redirect pages sent there, or all error urls to http://gardenjunk.org/default.aspx

Anotherwords.... just leave out the WWW part of the url, and you'll get to the default home page without the redirect problem.

Mikie, I tried using the link you provided and I get the same message. I pasted the link in the security tab and privacy tab and restarted the computer. That didn't work.

I have the latest Java and IE.

I went to Internet Options and pasted it there and approved it.

Nothing seems to work...What could possibly be my problem?

Thanks for all you help and I will continue to try any and all suggestions.

I came across this, not sure if this applys to you. It deals with a corrupt index.dat file.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, delete the Index.dat file in Internet Explorer: 1. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. On the General tab, under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files.
3. On the Delete Files dialog box message that is displayed, click OK.
4. Under History, click Clear History.
5. On the Delete all items in your History folder? dialog box, click OK.
6. Quit Internet Explorer.
7. Log on to the computer by using the account of a user who does not experience the problem, and then open a command prompt.
8. Change the directory to the following path:
drive:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
