I didn't just come across this article I actually googled "i'm sick of people telling me their dog is a rescue" and this article was the first to pop up! That being said, "i'm sick of people telling me their dog is a rescue"! Here's why... probably 75% of the time when I ask an owner "what kind of dog is that"? they answer "its a rescue". It drives me crazy because they know I have asked them what breed they have but they insist in on first letting me know that they are a wonderful person because they have rescued a dog. Wait.... the question wasn't did you get your dog from a breeder or did you get your dog elsewhere (naturally if it didn't come from the breeder you have rescued a dog from somewhere, hence making most dogs rescues). But the actual term "rescue dog" is very misleading so I always ask them to clarify with the following question.... "Wow, a rescue dog, that is incredible, you must be so proud of him/her... I just read about this rescue dog that pulled a little baby out of a burning building.... what exactly did your dog do?

I have been with my fiance' for fours. Well, broke up 4 times but always got back and worked things out. He recently retired and he was alright at first, then started to change. Yes, we fuss off and on, but couples do. However, from the beginning he told me how much he loved me and one day I will be his wife. Always told me everyday how much he loved me. Now I noticed that stopped as well. He went to his mothers one day and changed his password on his comp. He has never done that before. We haven't had sex in a long time. His daughter just got herpes and I know you can't get herpes but only by sex, but in my mind and what I have been through in my life having arthritis, I'm scared. I tried to tell him it's in my mind and I apologize not wanting his daughter near me. I have been been through a lot with medicines, shots and surgeries replacing both knees and my left hip. I have never kept him from his kids and never will. I love his kids and we get along great . I told him to visit his kids like I do mine. It's a 2 hour drive but well worth it to see their smiling face. He said, he shouldn't have to drive that far. So, he moved out. I'm still upset remembering the I love you forever and never leave you. Him changing so fast and told me I'm not happy anymore. Moved in with a family member he said. He told me he wanted to be alone to think. I feel like it's all my fault

You should review the extensive messages on this topic here on the GardenWeb starting in 2007. This describes the varied reasons that cats do this. My own cat is a 8 year old spayed female calico. She did this when I got her 6 years ago, always peeing when I was in the bed, usually on the blankets over me. This was definitely territorial at the time, as I had another cat. This ceased when the other cat died. Since that time three years ago there has only been one event that provokes the peeing, and this is the use of a comforter on the bed. This is a common thread throughout the other comments, although most refer to down comforters. Mine pees whether it is a down or synthetic comforter. There may be some residual scent in the comforter, not removed by washing, that she can detect. So if I want to use a comforter I have to shut her out of the bedroom, and remove the comforter in the morning and put it away. I think that it is wonderful how your readers grapple with this problem and do not think of abandoning the cat. Such kindness restores my faith in humanity.

You did good. Much better than i would have. I have a temper and i'm not the one who runs , i usually lose it and attack back. BUt you did the right thing for your ss. The order should hold up for a year. And BM will get what is comng too her. If she goes drinking and driving....now that the cops know...you never know, they may check in from time to time if they are nice and nail her on a DUI. ANd bm is living her hell now. She' s a drunk, her son knows she's a loser and her husband is leaving her. She will get worse and once she is getting a divorce , she will get worse and its a good thing that protective order is in place. I'm sorry to hear that if you press charges it will get messier...and from the sounds of it, i dont think you want to deal with it in that manner ... Me personally, i would go ahead and get it messier. I know its she said you said and you would get ticketed...but me personally i'm a scrapper. In the end, it is what makes you happy and comfortable. And i think your ss does love you and appreciates you LH.
