So far, the only two suggestions I haven't already done (twice!) is remove MSN from add remove and uninstalled old dialup software. Will give add/remove a try. Still using free MSN hotmail, though. Will that still work? If that doesn't work I'll need more info on how to uninstall old dialup software. Thanks, Sandy

Let the process complete and MSN will be gone after a reboot. msn removal But you should see it in your Start> control panel> add remove programs, wait for full list, then look for MSN, MSN messenger, msn toolbar select then then choose remove. also check start>all programs> online services msn then see if there is an uninstaller
