My gut reaction is that Verizon was too lazy or cheap to write the drivers for their product. As I read it, the Multi-WWAN driver is for devices that have wireless broadband hardware built-in. I'd download the HP Multi-WWAN driver for a similar mini (make sure you get the matching O/S). Either the driver is going to install or it's going to balk at the lack of necessary hardware. I'd bet that even if it balks, the drivers get installed anyway. If that doesn't work, I'd call Verizon and ask them to support their product. You're paid them for the device and continue to pay them for monthly access. HP Mini's are quite popular so you can't be the only person having this problem.

Take a look at the rather long article linked below, it may offer some help. When reading this take a closer look at the photo where he/she has the front connector plugs that fits on the motherboard and his hand showing. You see those 2 connectors off to the left? There really seems to be no place for those on some motherboard yet they need to be connected. I would continue with the same trim/door color. My suggestion for walls with white cabinets, would be to paint them the same off white as the trim. Not the best example, but close... Add a runner that works with white/off-white theme in the room.
