Sorry I didn't mention what I have running. I have WindowsXP. I have Norton Internet Security. I ran Malwarebytes (a full scan). Anyway, I thought if I did a system restore I could install my printer. This is the second new printer I have tried to install. It just continually loops and doesn't install. I removed any printer that had been installed on my computer. Thanks for the responses ! mikie -- Thanks for the links ! I uninstalled, restarted and then installed both versions you linked to. (I also have Comodo Dragon [Chrome] on my computer but rarely use it. We'll see if I still get some sort of error that that browser needs an AFP update.) Btw, when installing for FF I had to close the browser. When installing for IE I was not told to close the browser. Not being an IE user, I don't know if that is a big deal or not. But everything went smoothly. Thanks, mikie ! azinoh -- There are two user accounts on this computer. Mine is not THE admin account, but it does have administrator authority when necessary. I did the update for each browser as you suggested and used mikie's links. :-) esteban -- Although in most cases I do things the way owbist describes above, this time I used the Snipping Tool that comes with Windows 7. I saved the pic to my desktop and clicked "Browse" (next to "Image file to upload" above the composition area). Piece of cake. (Or pumpkin pie, if you prefer.) :-) I have not rebooted since doing these installations, but as far as I can tell my situation is resolved. Thanks for the help! :-)

In case anyone has this problem in the future, after several videos, including manufacturer videos, which all pretty much skipped through the part of inserting the hinges into the oven, and several articles, I finally found 2: https://www.justanswer.com/appliance/4g13q-re-attach-whirlpool-oven-door-removing-wasn-t.html https://www.bobvila.com/posts/29301-can-t-put-oven-door-back-on?page=1 What happens is that when you open the door, the hinges are in the extended position, but when you have it partially closed to lift off, the hinges snap back into the closed position. Note that these hinges can take your fingers off! What we did was pull the hinges into a partly extended position, not sure if it was 120-degree as above, and then slipped a 1 x 2 wood block between each hinge and the door to hold them open and save your fingers. So there is an almost-1-inch space between the hinge and the door (and the wood block is soft and not damaging anything). At that point you should be able to hold the door at approximately 45 degrees and slide it in like magic, the way they do in the videos without any helpful comment. If that angle doesn't work, start at 90-degrees (open position) and tilt up until the hinges slide in. The real issue is the way you take it off. They assume that the hinges will be locked open when you remove the door; this is why they are singularly unhelpful about putting the door back. Our oven is a Whirlpool model with the double-hook hinge, fyi.

Thanks for the responses and help. I am not using antivirus and removed the the antivirus before my Adobe problems. I checked/installed updates to Windows and IE. I went to Adobe.com and installed/reinstalled. This morning the issues seem partly fixed. When I am on a web page, such as Yahoo, whether in IE or FF, some of the boxes display and some don't. If I go to a web page page, like Yahoo's tech page, that has mostly boxes that have videos in them, I see the text in the boxes but they are otherwise blank. If I click on the box a video then starts playing. I know this isn't how it's supposed to work, but it's better than it was yesterday. Maybe if I wait till the next Adobe or Windows update it will sort itself out? Thanks for the suggestions. If you think of anything please let me know. I think I will put this laptop away for a week or two and use my Win7 laptop instead. I'll check on updates the next time I get it out and hope for the best.
