What operating system are you using? If your missing that "About" feature, seems like something is wrong, open and close windows media player, reboot the computer, see if you can get that feature back. Windows Media Player 12 comes as part of Windows 7. "In Step 4, you have choice to choose selected file type to play as default with Windows Media Player. Thank you both for your responses. Pam, I didn't even know what rip was regarding this software. I will look at everything a bit closer. In ITunes there is an option to load music manually and was hoping WMP had the same. I just use this software for listening to music while I am using the PC. It has taught me that I like all of my music in the library, gives me a good variety to listen to. Zep, I have used WMP for years and never had this problem before. It must have been something in an upgrade.
