FireFox 3 Version question

Hi,

My DH hit update now by mistake for the Mozilla FireFox Ver. 3, I had put off getting this as I wasn't sure if it had problems or not. It will automatically install when the computer is restarted. Is it problem free now? I am using MS XP and IE 7 and have now Mozilla FireFox 2.0.0.20 Thank you.

I have been using FF 3.0.5 for a long while now with no ill effects that I am aware of.

you will have to do that anyway because they are not supporting version 2. So might as well go ahead and do it.
It should be a smooth transition, there are several threads here that I have posted links to some tips and tricks for firefox 3 where you can make it more like version 2 etc so just search for those.

some of your add ons or themes may not yet be functional with version 3 is maybe something you may run into.

I have found it helpful to insert little wooden skewers carefully into the soil to about root level, and leave them there... I take them out and press them against my cheek to test for dampness... if they feel at all damp, I wait to water... but if the skewer comes out dry, it's time to water. My coir is 4" deep in a closed pot. I put the skewer to the bottom of the pot. When I take it out how many inches of bone dry top "soil" should there be before it's time to water again? Is it 1", 2" or 4"? I just went 10 days without water and only 1" of the top was dry so am I supposed to water this direct sun pot once every two weeks or so to avoid over watering, really? And how much water for my 6" closed pot? I had been watering 1 1/2 cup or so once a week and my plant was fine but I'm now worried that was too much so I'm re-evaluating. I know what conventional wisdom says (water deep, not shallow) but that advice doesn't seem to apply to my situation. Also how long should it be before I see new leaf growth in the summer time (first season outside)? My 18 month old Red Lion so far has only grown new leaves once a year. At potting and at dormancy end.

I'm using Firefox version 2.0.0.1 with Adblock 0.5.3.043. I finally got my ads under control when I started using wildcards (*) in my blocks. For example I have blocks on */ads/* and *.doubleclick.net/* Those two really cleared up my browsing.

I recently updated to FF 3.6.18 from 3.6.17 on June 21st and no issues and I'm staying there for now. I just came across the article below that stated Mozilla expects Firefox to hit version 7 by the end of the year. Version 3.6.18 is definitely a keeper for me. think I'd start with a ccleaner and check mark compact data base.... then by lookin at extensions/plugins/themes, start disabling/re-enabling something all three have in common. probably lots of same slow page loads.... I am one of those careful people who don't like to update to new versions of things unless most, if no all, the bugs have been worked out. I finally updated to version 3, and have had no problems.
