I had mine on Private. But I just went in now and blocked all users. Now, does that mean if I put a photo on the boards here will I have to unblock it or what?

nope should not affect that at all.
and I think if you do want to share an album with a friend or family you can set up a password for guest use in there too.

I have always had mine private, but didn't know about the "block all users". I logged on, engaged the "block all users", and logged off.

Then I logged on with my guest password, and was still able to see my pics, as it should be.

Wow, I didn't know that either. I just checked block all users. I thought it was private.

I thought I had my Photobucket privacy protected, but I'm paranoid so I took a look at my account and, sure enough, it was just like you said...so I switched it. Thanks for the heads-up.

Thank you ravencajun for this information, I had no idea they had the block all users there. I had to look for it though, because I first thought it was with the private and public section of it but it wasn't. I do have one question though, how do I post a picture here because things have changed I am not sure how to do it now? Thanks for your help.

luis I did see the mobile options however I don't do anything with my cell phone but talk on it, so I would not have a use for them and have no idea what all they would do.

raven I blocked it but I found something I didn't understand maybe you can explain. What are are mobile settings? In the "Edit Application" there is "fotoflexer Image Editor" What is that. I don't remember adding any of that but it has been as long time since I used Photo Bucket.

I was wondering how I wound up in other peoples "what I thought was private" album of pictures aside from the one clicked to see. I felt uncomfortable when that would happen and X'd out.

every thing should work just exactly as it always has this blocking of other users will not change how it works I have found no change at all for posting pics it still works great.
All that does is stop people from being able to subscribe to your account and get notified every time you upload a new picture to your own account, that is what I don't like, people you don't even know could be watching everything you put in your photobucket. So no worries that it will change how you post your pictures it does not.

The mobile things as I said above I have no idea since I barely use my cell phone at all and just for talking LOL
however if you look at photobucket where you can choose where to upload your pictures from it has the option for mobile phone so I am assuming that is what it is related to.

The other Edit applications, one is if you have the firefox addon that I mentioned a while back for photobucket that will be one listed there, it is basically saying you do allow the firefox addon to put things in your account, so when you use your firefox addon you do not have to go through opening your photobucket page each time it will allow those pics to go into your account directly.

I had 3 listed in mine in that area the fotoflex image editor, that is part of your photobucket that allows you to edit the pictures, the firefox add on, and the photobucket album organizer which allows you to have more than one album and select which ones to put your pics in etc.

If you use any other photo hosting sites check your options there also because most of them are starting to do this kind of thing, when it does it and asks me if I want to allow so and so to subscribe to my account that is one thing but letting it happen with out my knowledge just does not seem right.

And you are very welcome, I did not know either so was glad to find out my own self.
