Then McAfee is that up to date? For starters I would go into your add/remove programs list and remove Adobe. We can get you another reader later. Then remove all versions of Java from the add / remove programs. The only version there should be Version 6 u_18. Remove all others. right you can only have one antivirus program on the pc at one time, you can have multiples of the malware programs that you run the scans manually with they are not running all the time so would not conflict. here are my instructions (I now just keep them in a document) McAfee removal directions these are the full directions for Mcafee removal, I used this exact procedure and it went well and have since shared it with others for their removal. be sure you use the mcafee removal tool after you have removed it from add remove programs or much will be left behind. First turn off Mcafee at the icon in the systray. I had to go into msconfig and turn off all mcafee items from startup prior to trying to uninstall, just turning them off did not work it would say the program was still running. So if you run into this when going to add remove programs try doing that. I then removed everything using add remove programs, leaving Security center till last. Then used the removal tool, after that I went to Program Files and deleted all mcafee files. Also set Windows explorer to show all hidden files and folders and deleted the mcafee folders. is that a complete suite by trend micro? does it contain an antivirus program as well as a firewall and antispyware? I personally do not like the suites but that is personal preference. Trend micro is a good brand for antivirus. I would not get rid of superantispyware it is a manual scanner and I would continue to update it and do weekly scans. If it has the antivirus and the firewall you could get rid of avast and zone alarm. IF it is just the antivirus you could get rid of avast. Trend Micro offers about 4 different products. IF it is this one Internet Security 2008 it has an antivirus, 2 way firewall and an antispyware. I have no idea about their firewall, how good it is, or their antispyware. That one cost $49.99 a year for 3 computers.

I like newegg but will not purchase a pc from them because of their no refund policy, they will only replace, I had a choice of them and walmart on 2 different computers I have bought and got both from walmart for their super return policy, can take it right to any store. So be aware of the policy at where ever you do buy. i do buy most of my memory from newegg and other parts. Acer Aspire 11.6" Netbook with Intel Atom Processor, 6 Cell Battery and Windows XP you can select any color you want there. it has usb ports you can use usb mouse or keyboard I use a usb wireless mouse with mine but you can use a usb corded version. there is not a ps2 port. it does have one vga video port. my biggest complaint on mine and this seems to be pretty consistent with most netbooks is how weak the speakers are, I have hearing issues and on some things I can barely hear it, if there is any noise in the room I can not hear it but carrying a little set of earbuds that I can plug in fixes that problem or connecting to stand alone speakers or a head set.
