I E 8 question

I am running a vista X64, I have two browsers one I use a lot and that is Firefox and the other just to have is IE7. My question is this when I open IE 7 and ask it to update it doesn't give me IE8 as an update option should it?

IE8 is a version update you have to go and get it from an update site or from windows update you can not get it through the IE7 built in updater.

ravencajun is right, IE8 is an update to IE7. There are many benefits to updating to IE8, mainly speed, security and compatibility. The update is painless but if you run into any problems, I'll be happy to help.

I ALWAYS play nice (well, at least MOST of the time!!!) Okay, pictures have been taken - but not DL'd to computer yet (I'm surfing @ poolside via WiFi... Oh the SACRIFICES I have to make! ;-) I think I've been inspired to post an addendum to my "Garden Page" (you can get there from my webpage, linked below). I haven't done it yet, but I'll try to post my GH erection efforts "Step-By-Step." They won't be as good as conifers'/Dax's pictorial, but I'll do my best (Gotta "Give Back to the Community," right?!!) I think the wood-cutting is still a "hair" off, but the 'errors' will be put on the back-side (next to a fence, where no one will ever walk / have an opportunity to bend the aluminum base). Or maybe I'll add some skinny/lath/shim kinda material for the Too hot to dig up veggies right now, so I'll postpone that 'til early evening (or early tomorrow morning). I'll probably move my "boring observations" to the webpage (When I start it!). I'll just make note, on here, when I post updates - so I won't bore everyone with my long-winded commentary!!! Of course, I'm *sure* I'll have more questions as I go through this - and I *will* post those questions here! And I just thought of another Q: Should I paint the RW base before I assemble it? If so, white (for reflective qualities)? Or black (for heat-sinking)??? Or should I just hold off on that altogether (bearing in mind that it'll be easier to paint BEFORE I assemble it)??? Any thoughts...??? Thanks - AGAIN - for all the support, insight and advice! And thanks - in advance - for enduring my upcoming questions!!! I'm not positive, but from what I've read a lot of the ones you see in the grocery stores might be Fuyu. That is what I grow in Crystal Springs, MS. My trees's are only 3-4 years old, approx 6 feet tall. My step-dad's are lots older, but still only 8-10 feet tall. Very good producer's, excellent fruit. You might want to look at the fruit and orchards forum My mom was japanese, they have Ichi's and Fuyu's. I think she liked the Fuyu's the best. He also has Tanenashi. I posed you question to DS who has a lot of EBay experience and here is his answer . It is all Greek to me but maybe you'll understand it in any event a good telephone number to have on hand "Either she needs to cancel the listing early and lose the insertion fee and then reload the listing with the correct amount or let the listing run it's course and start a new listing when the old listing ends. Have her call eBay 866-643-2959 if she doesn't have a telephone ID already she will have to recreate one to get customer service."

If you add it to your "watch" list, you will be able to see the time left for the listing. It really is small in size, isn't it?. Why didn't I think of that?? (Because I have the KT, and I'm spoiled.) Yes, it's awfully small, and faded, I'm sure. It would be nice to have, but for not very much money. I have some similar memorabilia of his. I have no idea what "lg" means. Certainly not "large." LOL I found it because I have a standing search request on eBay for any items that contain the word Luckstone, and also one for "Alice Campbell," my grandmother (his wife) and also an opera singer. A different Alice Campbell was a novelist from around the time time period, so unfortunately I get notifications whenever her books are listed on eBay. But no big deal. I bought another picture of my grandfather on eBay--not his most flattering, but an interesting photo. I also found a listing that claimed to be selling a photo of Harry Luckstone, but it wasn't him. I wrote to the seller, who ignored me. ;-)

Maybe he is, maybe he isn't but don't you just love it when a "team" member just happens to appear here out of nowhere on a topic dedicated thread. Particularly when he joined only recently. In the interest of fair play though his comment is accurate.

As always we must be polite and respectful, but since we have been scammed here before I for one am keeping one foot on shore.

the IE team and the windows 7 team have often dropped in here when questions were being asked, it is fairly normal for them to do that, of course they have ways of knowing when keyword terms trip a trigger about their projects. Just google "IE outreach team" and you will see them out and about.

No argument as perhaps this is legitimate. That's why I insist on respect and politeness. However, since we have been previously victimized by posters posing as such and such I prefer to error on the side of caution. How many times have I written that the Internet operates in a veil of secrecy?

"First time shame on you, second time shame on me" is the way the adage goes I believe.

The full saying is, "there is nothing wrong with going out in a boat as long as you keep one foot on shore". The theme being caution.

I only get annoyed when someone registers and immediately starts violating the Terms of Service by spamming. Kyler gave accurate info, and he identified himself as on the IE8 Outreach Team, which I'm taking at face value. After all the flack that Microsoft gets for a variety of things, it might just be nice to have someone on the forum here who has an inside track on IE8.

well it is most definitely not just one person there are many and I know of several myself and many are MVP's.

the people I have questions about are the ones that show up here drag up old posts only to then add their website selling something in their signature and just happened to have registered that day. the real trolls.
