Countertop Options??

We are almost done making selections for our new house. The vanities we ordered for the kids bathrooms came with a marble top included, however the ones for the master bath were custom made and are topless.

We got a quote from our granite guy for an inexpensive marble (crema marfil I think) top for the two vanities (one is 48" the other is 60") and the bid came back around $1700. That seems like a lot of money for a bathroom countertop! I have a tile I love, tub I love and vessels sinks I love, I just want a simple countertop to go with it all that won't cost an arm and a leg.

Is there nothing other than cultured marble or laminate that we can get for a reasonable price?
