If you have a third party email unitlty (Thunderbird, etc.), most of these have a "trash box". When you delete an email from either the "In Box" or "Sent Box" it goes to the trash box. To complete a deletion, go to the trash box and delete. Items deleted from the trash box are gone. This is a neat feature. For example, if you deleted a message while reading it in the "In Box" and then later wanted to retrieve it. you can. Merely move to the trash box, select the message and "Move" it to another box.

If you are using outlook express, and have that much mail build up that it is causing problems at your server end, you can change the setting. Just uncheck leave copy of email on server. That way, once it comes into one computer, it wont come in to the other, and it will only be on your pc, not the server. To do this, open outlook express, go to tools, and accounts. Click on the Mail tab, highlight YourAccount and click on the Properties button. Click on the Advanced tab. In the delivery section, uncheck leave copy of messages on server. Unless you really want another email address, this will take care of the problem so you dont have to change it. Good Luck

there are some ads that automagically downloads and runs a program. sometimes it changes you're desktop background to another image sometimes it rips you're data apart. I highly suggest you get adblock for all your web browser.

Thanks for responding, pkponder. The problem is that I need to keep them on my webmail server (on my work laptop). But they take up way too much room on my phone, so would like to remove them and only have new ones coming in for when I'm away from the laptop. Then I will delete all from the phone maybe once per week.
