Jeanne, I really look forward to seeing dollbaby each season in her new attire. That little hat you made is so darn cute on her--what a talented lady you are. What amazes me most is that you always have just the perfect little dish or cup and some kind of little "toy" additon for her. How wonderful that you still have your little shoes and they work on dollbaby! Just so cute and too much fun. ;o) Your buffet decor with the turkey and wire cloche, your elegant looking pumpkin, the lighted branches and all your wonderful little birds just add such a nice warm homey feeling to your decor. The pattern of my pinecone plates is called Pinecone, I believe. It's from the W.S. George Company and were made sometime between 1904 and 1954.You need to look for your New Mexican Indian doll, although I'll bet it's too southwestern to work with Thanksgiving decs. I know that mine are. Tammy: Hooray for Fall . . . I love it, too! Luckygal: yes, my hutch was made locally. It even has leather hinges on it. Remind me and I'll try and take some detailed pics of it someday. I'll bet your DH could make you one. Mine's made of old barn wood. As for my sugar & creamer, there isn't a pattern name on them and it only says, "OCI and the date 1993 on their bottoms. I bought them in 1993, I guess, and have never seen anothr piece of this pattern since. I do remember that the store (now closed) also had the matching cannisters. Jane, I'll pass along your compliments to Emily. Yes, decorating with things from my DD & DS's childhood brings back many happy memories. I used silk flowers on my cornucopia. As much as I enjoy seeing them overflowing with fruits, etc. my dogs will eat those, so I keep mine empty (LOL). And, yes, I love my pinecone napkin rings. I've seen some repros like it with glass tops, but I like ours the way it is. Our living room is very eclectic . . . LOL! Yachter: too funny! We always host Thanksgiving and every year our cousins from NJ come for a couple of days. Disclaimer: I was raised Jewish and DH was raised Catholic, so we celebrate all holidays. In deference to my cousins, who are Conservative Jews, I don't decorate the house for Christmas until after Thanksgiving (like as soon as they leave the day after Thanksgiving I'm in the attic pulling out the Christmas stuff!). I envy that you're able to decorate for the holidays before Thanksgiving because I would love to. If there's ever a year we don't host Thanksgiving I'll be up in the attic post-haste! Do what you want...I know, I know, I should take my own advice, but I love my cousins dearly and they're the last people I would want to make feel uncomfortable. Enjoy!

Not much I can add, Jeanne. Your home and decorating is always so warm and inviting. I've loved it, inside and out for many years now....just wish I could see it for real. But thank goodness you share it here with us. Someone finally told the Phoenix Gods its Nov I think...tomorrow and this past weekend has been pushing 90, but they said its dropping 30 degrees this weekend!! Yay. (I think Kirk is sending some his weather this way, minus the snow of course. Just a nice cold front coming down from WA.) It might actually FEEL like Nov around here. hugs, Karen
