Yes, I've seen only videos of the printers and they sound very interesting. Thats partly why this video is so much fun, it's almost real. I love fun stuff like this. When you watch the video the graphics are fun and goofy. The text at the end of the video looked like it was a lot of fun to write by the creators.

I can certainly sympathize with your situation...I have been without a printer for many months now because the ink cartridges are so expensive. I have a Canon Multipass 550 which has been a lifesaver in the past...being able to fax, copy and print...then when you do breakdown to buy one...install it and it still says empty cartridge, you really want to scream. But get this...the cartridge isn't the problem...it's the print head...to the tune of $50 or so and this is the third time I have replaced it and lord only knows how many cartridges were full before I wised up! Now get this....those print heads can be washed in your kitchen sink, dried on the counter and reinstalled...I sure am glad I saved the other two, i'll try that next time! But, now...I can't get the printer to print everything on the page....it prints one or two lines of the document, then skips a good paragraph size area and picks up the print again......any suggestions! and of course, it doesn't help that the manual is online and no hard copy is provided...I'm ready to do the old uninstall/reinstall thing and see if that helps! Technology sucks....here today, obsolete before noon the next day! and it wasn't a cheapee either...about $250- $300 smack a roos 2-3 years ago! Even with the cheapees....you spend a fortune on ink, that's were they make the money i guess! So what do I have to lose if the washing dosen't work......blank pages! Owbist, The site U sent me is great..I looked at MANY sites but none was as good as this one. It did answer some questions for sure. I know how to change the setting to Best..normal & Draft BUT it won't let me change. The dot is in normal & I can't change it as the best & draft are grayed out. I guess I'm gonna have to call HP on the phone.. I don't like to as I can't understand most of them..They are in India. I tried once already & it disconnected. I'll try tomorrow & maybe I'll have better luck. Thanks & if U or anyone knows how to make them active please help me. You speak much clearer than India does :-) Dar

I don't use or need large format either but wouldn't hesitate to go to laser. When I was using inkjet, I printed so seldomly that the ink would dry or the heads would clog and I'd have to clean heads and/or replace ink far too often. The printers were cheap but the ink was expensive. The last time I bought a basic monochrome Brother laser and it seems to always be ready to print anytime I am. I just looked it up and I see that I bought the last (generic, less that $30) toner cartridge back in March of 2016. Today, after not printing for a few months, I needed to print a couple things and it printed fine. I wouldn't have given my older inkjets a chance in... ? :)
