When I put my status as offline, it goes to available without me even being on it. Is there a setting for that,

"Windows Live Messenger allow users to appear offline to particular individual contacts, as well as to an entire category within Windows Live Messenger, while appearing online to other contacts. This is a recent feature of Windows Live Messenger 2011, and is a departure from the previous versions of Windows Live Messenger, where blocking a contact would prevent the "blockee" from sending the user any messages to the "blocker". With the "appear offline to" configuration currently implemented, "hidden from" users can still send "offline messages" to the target. This change has caused some uproar among users."

As far as a setting for unavailable, I don't know but others that use that program may have more to offer.

michael- The typical reason that you would have to login to Hotmail each time is if your browser is set to automatically clear cookies when you close it. When you re-open the browser, it does not have the identifying cookie in memory that allows you to get in to your email without logging-in again. However, I am concerned about the second message you posted. Your bank account would have nothing to do with this. Did you by any chance respond to an email that asked you to provide info on your banking login? If so, that was undoubtedly a scammer who may now have access to your bank account; banks never request any details like this in an email. Please clarify what you meant by that second post of yours.

I too like my privacy and was amazed that this is possible without opting in. Based on your post I went to Photos/Options/People tagging. There it showed that I was allowing others to view but I dragged the pointer down to "Just me" and saved, now these are not visible to others. Then I went to Options/Privacy/Advanced and see other things to be edited to control my privacy. Remember to save after changing of course. Here is the info on deleting your photo. You might find one or two other snippets of interest there for Skydrive. I found this after writing the first part of my reply.
