Face Book games

I love games. I have a lot of my own games. I do Facebook. It seems the concensus here is anti Facebook. I would guess that Facebook games is bad too? Why? I never have played them but a lot of my friends have invited me. I'm just curious of what you guys have to say.

I guess it depends on how you define "bad". What are you concerned about?

Bad meaning the possibility of getting virus or adware from them?

I personally would never talk you out of it, I do not have a facebook account so I can understand your wish to remove yours. Everyone has the right to their own opinions and decisions. Here are some links that should help you but understand it may not be as easy as hitting a button there are several steps to fully have it deactivated and closed. You should not feel forced to do something you don't want to do. If you want to remove it go for it.

Yep - just the one to see how she got on. Adventure Under the Sea or something like that - Book 2 anyway. (Adventure under the Sea - yeah, right! I've had a couple of goes at it, and I've been down to the centre of the earth, up into space and a thousand years ahead in time. Not bad for a book of about 120 pages...!) She's hooked ! I'll buy her a couple more, I imagine - but at Â£3 a time from Amazon, it's just the right amount to save up for with her pocket money. She gets a quid a week - so it'll probably take her a month or so - short enough not to seem out of reach, but long enough to make saving an achievement. Thanks again for the recommendation.

Sorry JoAnn, I answered blfenton's question because here on Houzz, I have clicked to follow many folks and just didn't remember if I had followed her/him. I felt a bit guilty because I could have been someone creating anxiety to blfenton. I'm pretty sure that other than Sylvia, I have no crossover friends with Facebook, so felt no guilt or compulsion to speak up about your Facebook follower. On Facebook, you control who can follow you and see who is currently following you. You set your privacy settings to match your comfort level. If you click the down pointing arrow in the blue Facebook toolbar, choose Settings. If you choose Followers, you can see who is following you. If you wish to edit your privacy settings, choose Privacy from the left sidebar. You can see who sees your stuff, who can look you up and who can contact you. This is also where you make changes to only allow those that you are comfortable with 'seeing your stuff'. Obviously if someone cannot see your stuff (posts), they cannot follow you.

casi...I have had a Facebook acct for several years and never had a problem. The only game I play on Facebook is Words with Friends ....it is like a scrabble game. I like visiting Facebook and seeing my friends. Make sure you have privacy settings on your account. I only share with friends....I do not share with everyone only friends.

When I went to try a game it asks something about sharing information and that scared me. Cricketm, did you allow the sharing?

you will have to allow sharing for that game if you want to play it. I am a huge fan of Farmville but have to admit, when clicking on 'gifts' from other players that seem too good to be true, I have gotten my computer infected. If you don't have the ability to clean up your computer when it gets nasties or have a tech on speed dial, it may not be your best choice.

Casi....I only play with friends or relatives....not strangers.......so to answer your question ...I only share with friends or relatives. I have been on FB for a few years and never had a problem...so far...
