I maybe should have started a new thread instead of putting this here, but I'd like to know about something some of my friends have joined, an app that is supposed to tell you who has visited your photos, profile, etc. I can't figure out if people who use that app will be able to identify anyone who looks at their profile, or if it would only identify people who use that particular app.

I don't find facebook to be boring at all. I've been a member on online communities since 1998 and think that facebook is a fantastic way of keeping up with friends and acquaintances that are now scattered around the globe. I'm selective about how I send and accept friend requests from and I would say there are only about 10 people on my friend list that I don't know personally and they are friends of friends. Actually, a group that I've been a member since 98 lost someone very recently. She suffered from a brain hemorrhage and was gone within 48 hours. I never had the privileged of meeting her in person, but my loss is just as profound as if we people who met for lunch every week. Anyway, my community gathered together on facebook chat around the time they took her off life support and it was a great comfort to us to be together in real time (rather than on our message board) to support each other and celebrate her life. Gosh, sorry for the total off topic babbling. I was just anti-facebook for years, because I am protective of my privacy. But then I realized that my facebook experience can be what I want it to be and not what the "facebook machine" says it should be. Also, if you've been hacked, please do what lindyluwho said and let people know! I've had relatives that have been hacked and they didn't tell people, so some of their friends and family also got hacked.

I play games daily & prefer puzzles, word games & hidden object adventure games. Lately, it's mostly word games and solitaire. But I don't feel guilty, so does it still count? I play Wordscraper on FB - a Scrabble clone that allows fantastically high scores, but only works on my desktop, and WordBrain, among other things, on my phone. And lately, I've been reading everything I can find by Diana Wynne Jones that I haven't already read - mostly YA/Youth. Luckily, she was very prolific! It's total escapism into well crafted fantasy and there's always a happy ending. I also read 'How I Live Now' in 1 night after watching the movie. I was a bit surprised by how very different from each other the book and the film were, but both are very good. Something about books & stories for and about young people that provide a feeling of hopefulness... P.S. If you want a game that's not a word game, try World Of Goo. It's quite unique and really stretches your mind.
