There are different things you can do to control privacy. You can set your browser to store no cookies, you can surf anonymously by going through a site that will create a new ip address randomly for each site visited so you cannot be traced (what hackers do), all kinds of stuff. But it takes research and reading to do the stuff. You have to decide if the effort it takes is worth it. I use firefox and don't get popups any more. Also disables almost all advertisements.

I reinstalled IE7 since the download that's supposedly for IE6 SP 2 doesn't say IE, it just says XP SP2. I don't understand. And something was wrong with the download or something. It was running slow & a couple tries got me some sort of error page I didn't make note of. Anyhow, after re-downloading IE7 I'm still getting the original error, practically every time I close out of IE. It's not the one I got after removing IE. "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for this inconvenience." I did a print screen of error screen & the two following pages; Report Contents & Error Signature Reporting Details, in case Best Buy can figure out what the deal is when I take it in for its next 'under warranty' visit. I'm just going to post a different thread about which IE tab is best for Mozilla so I can run McAfee Spyware Scan via Comcast on Mozilla. Computers frustrate me.
